Eiconic Games had a busy day today as they announced that their PS Vita title, Total Recoil, would be releasing on the PSN this Wednesday in Europe for £1.99/€2.49 and July 9th in North America for $2.49, complete with 1 gold, 1 silver and 13 bronze trophies. - PSLS
Punk and Lizard write: "Today we got the latest news from Si the Art and Creative Director from Eiconic Games about news of Total Recoil hitting the Japan Playstation Store around December 17th!"
indiePub has published its weekly update of new and notable indie games on the Playstation Store Indie Games Channel.
Best bets this week include: Pixel Junk Eden, where you explore a gorgeous world; Do Not Fall, an intense action/platformer; Farming Simulator, where you must grow and maintain crops; Total Recoil, a fun, explosive arcade shooter; Kung Fu Rabbit, where you must save your disciples with your combat prowess, and Men’s Room Mayhem, where you become the janitor of a men’s room.
Push Square: "Eiconic has set a solid template for Total Recoil, with ample content and generally enjoyable gameplay. However, it's the flaws and foibles inherited from its smartphone roots that spoil the potential of its upgrade system. Therefore, enhancing weapons, killstreaks, and equipment feels too expensive using the in-game currency, so you may find it a chore to toil and grind through repeated wave attacks. The game leaves an impression of quantity over quality, but at £1.99/$2.99, it may still be tempting as an impulse purchase."
as of late, more and more indie devs are into sony, i guess that only shows how comfortable are with working along with them ^_^
Ps4 is gonna be an amazing era for games, period. Cannot wait till its here.
It's seems every day Sony and Nintendo score another Indie game/victory. MS has had nothing but negative press on Indies for awhle now. When I transistion into Next-gen I will definitely need to check these games out.
Some Indie games can be more fun than AAA games. Indie games have the ability to try something new and be different with less risk involved. Indie games should always be supported on a platform/service when possible.
Great ghing about indie games vs triple a games are u will always get a bargain out of indie games & like many stated alot of them bring fresh & innovative games to the table & some of them bring more value then alot of the half azzed triple a games u have to spend alot more buying if u dont like waiting for prices to drop.
