Top 5 PlayStation 3 Games still to come in 2013

Although the PS4 is coming out strong this November with a killer lineup, the PS3 still has some awesome games coming out that won't be ported to the PS4. Here are my top 5 PS3 games you have to check out before you switch over to the PS4.

Don't forget Tales of Xillia in August

looking forward to that one

Kind of a bad list. Saints Row and Batman, yet no Rain, Puppeteer or Tales.

guitarded773947d ago

Yeah, totally agree. RAIN is looking so cool, and Puppeteer is getting criminally overlooked by all sites and media.

For me, the only games I have to buy before the PS4 comes out is GT6, Beyond, Puppeteer and Rain.I have a feeling many 3rd party games will see ports to the PS4, especially if there is a PC version. Like Batman. I'm also holding out of pre-ordering GTA5 because I have a feeling it will be announced for next-gen too. So for me, it's just PS3 exclusives until the PS4 arrives.

Half of these games that the article listed are multiplatform games. I was expecting exclusives. Yeah waste of my time.

I can't wait to get my hands on Beyond. Only game with a chance at taking Bioshock Infinite's crown as my game of the year.

Relientk773948d ago (Edited 3948d ago )

Bioshock Infinite is also my game of the year for sure, its just amazing beginning to end

SquareEnixFan3947d ago (Edited 3947d ago )

The Last of Us is a strong contender but like relientk77 said Infinite amazed me beginning to end.

DVAcme3946d ago

I played both The Last Of Us and Bioshock Infinite back-to-back. I mean as literally as it's possible: I beat The Last Of Us and five minutes later I booted Bioshock Infinite. And I can honestly say that this is the most difficult decision for GOTY in the last decade. I'm leaning towards The Last Of Us, but that's because I prefer its more intimate, personal story over Bioshock Infinite's more epic scale, but I can easily agree with people who give it to BI. It's seriously VERY HARD for me to imagine a third contender coming out this year that comes close to those two, they're magnitudes over every other game that's come out this year.

majiebeast3947d ago (Edited 3947d ago )

So far its between

-Lastofus
-Bioshock:I
-Ninokuni
-Tomb Raider

I think at the end of the year its gonna go between Lastofus and GTA V. Bioshock;I is a great game but the gameplay isnt on par with the rest of the game.

HammadTheBeast3947d ago

Bioshock had an amazing storyline, triumphed only be TLoU this year, but gameplay-wise it was slightly bland, Last of Us killed it in game play terms.

PS3 has maybe the best fall line up

XtraTrstrL3947d ago

Only thing about Beyond, like Heavy Rain, that my friend mentioned - is that it's more like an interactive movie than a game. Every 2 seconds it has the context-sensitive gameplay where it has you do the quick time events. It's like an advanced version of the old arcade game Dragon's Lair. Where it feels like you aren't fully in control of the game, and free to go about the virtual world as you choose. The graphics are amazing, it's just annoying to deal with nonstop quick times that take over your complete control.

Tales Of Graces Ƒ Retro Review – Holding Out For a Hero

Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.

Odd this and the xillia games still haven't gotten remasters yet.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil3d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai3d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing692d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle2d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa2d ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
