Sterne Agee analyst offers sales estimate for upcoming shooter; believes it can successfully coexist alongside Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Despite competition from Call of Duty: Ghosts, DICE's Battlefield 4 will sell 14 million units upon launch later this year, according to Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia. The analyst revealed the prediction today in a note to investors that was focused on Activision Blizzard.
Cheaters & hackers have been causing grief on Battlefield 1, Hardline & BF4 servers, with nonstop DDoS attacks among other things. Unfortunately, EA has remained silent about it.
Not even if they paid me.. EA always do this with old games with less money potential, if this was Ultimate Team, they'd address and sort it faster than stories could spread. Why invest time in their products when they will just dump it in the following years? Then again EA never could see the forest for the trees.
I imagine after those games were given out for free a couple months back through Amazon, anything that makes people go to 2042 is a plus for them
Nah. I think they can't do anything about it or they want to sink money into fixing it.
EA owns all BF servers so yes, they can do something about it but they refuse to because they dont want ppl playing their old games instead of the new one. Its EA we’re talking about here
if this happened in 2042, they'd have something to say. which is weird, considering battlefield 1 has more players on steam right now.
Its so obvious that EA is doing this or hired ppl to mess up the games so that we’d be forced to have just 1 Battlefield working.
Honestly it’s probably the devs themselves. They did an update to bf4 way back that kinda made assault rifles doo doo in hopes that people would flock to BF1 cuz BF4 was too perfect

I'm betting more. I think it will definitely beat out Call of Duty on the next gen front, although I can see Ghosts having a relatively slight lead over BF this year in contrast to past years on current gen platforms. I think a decline is going to begin with the next gen.
Ghosts simply doesn't look nearly as good as most other games, particularly Battlefield 4. And BF4 with 60 frames and possible 1080p with 64 player servers... Shit's about to get real.
It will be my first ps4 game so yea...
I think CoD will sell well but BF4 has a good chance to "win" long term. The problem is the new CoD game looks so dated because they are making it for the older systems as well that BF4 will grab the attention of the early console adopters that want the best looking and flashiest game and snowball from there.
Both MS and Sony have enough power in their consoles to run the game at ultra settings (the 7970 can easily run BF3 max@1080p) so gamers are in for a real treat visually. And if you are like me you like the fact that you can play so many different game modes on CoD with such varied map sizes that it makes CoD offerings seem pathetic by comparison. The one thing I wish that BF4 would implement that the new CoD has though is a lean function. But I think that might make sniping overpowered in BF4 so I can see why they didnt want to add it as it might be a game breaker.
My only dilemma is which console to purchase it for...
