The case of Moby Dick Studios and The Phantom Pain was an odd one. The trailer for what most of us thought was a fresh IP had the world abuzz during last year’s Video Game Awards, but not exactly for the right reasons.

I liked the game but for me it felt somehow like a military simulator rather than a proper MGS.. i got bored of that
The author was in a coma for 9 years and didn't get to play the game when it released.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
Looks better than Starfield, Cyberpunk and most recent games out. Still fine.
The gameplay was great. It was the tacked on open world and repetitive missions that messed the game up.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
The hospital section was the only bit that felt like a MGS game.
MGS4 was the ending for me. I totally ignore the fact 5 exists. It didn't need to exist tbh
Well that's interesting. Makes sense though, I doubt they'd want some no name game with a no name studio, with such a confusing trailer, to spotlight the show.
Does anyone watch the VGA awards? Honest question... I've always thought of it as some lame spike tv attempt to lure the male demographic in by pretending to give a **** about video games.
He wasn't forced too, if he didn't want to reveal it he didn't have to use the trailer spot.
I was fooled for about 5 minutes before the flood of information that showed it was MGS V, people are insane with figuring this crap out. I suck at it though.
I use 2 love metal gear , but spllnter cell came about crush it. Then splinter cell gets lamer every new game , now we stuck with no stealh games .The last of us hits the scene now us stealh fans can rejoice. I would love if this metal gear game can be great again, snake is a bad man!!!
