New GT6 Tracks to Release Monthly as DLC

There should be a large scale of downloadable content players can expect to be released for Gran Turismo 6 after its release, as it was confirmed that “at least one additional track per month will be downloadable.”

Considering that “over 33 locations and 71 track layouts” have already been confirmed to be included in GT6 from “day 1″ in the official announcement, the game’s track roster could grow quickly in size throughout 2014.

Madness?

THIS! IS! OBLIGATORY!

Yi-Long3957d ago

... the game at launch.

Hopefully, when they do release the PS4 version, it will come with the DLC-content included.

Dee_913957d ago

TBH I wont believe it until I see it.With GT5 they said we would get DLC every 2 months.

Me-Time3957d ago (Edited 3957d ago )

Nov. 2011
"I think that will include cars and tracks that we’ll be releasing maybe once every two months or so from here on out."

It wasn't a "promise" or worded in any way that the're saying now, and in the end, they still sold DLC on and off for 6 months with some free cars here and there after that.

Dee_913957d ago (Edited 3957d ago )

I was talking about the consistency but okay
because technically without looking at the dates you could say we got dlc every 2 months for a year.
But the content and the time between dates varied greatly from 2 months to 6 months and 5 cars to 1 car so yhea..A track a month seems a bit far fetched givin their track record with DLC.And a promise like a track a month is very vague because we dont know for how long and depending on how long, say a for year that would be 12 tracks. And considering it takes them MONTHS to complete a track this tells me they are holding out on content to release as DLC
which I dont support. No matter how much of a fan I am of PD, I cant support that, and I will pass on the DLC if this is the case and wait for a PS4 version with all DLC.

Polysix3957d ago

I meant "madness" in a good way - still supporting PS3 this far into the generation with a racer that looks this good + all this content = madness (in a good way) as in "colour me fucked"

Me-Time3957d ago

Unfortunately, we'll probably have to wait for GT6 to see Seattle Circuit and Apricot Hill which was seen in the NSX concept video earlier in the year. Just pointing it out, because I only fully realized it today.

LiarasBoobs3957d ago

God I miss Seattle circuit and Apricot Hill... and those other ones I forget the names of that weren't in GT5...

imt5583957d ago

I hope that DLC will be cheap. But, it's OK delivering new tracks every month. They scan new tracks every month and send on PSN as DLC.

LiarasBoobs3957d ago (Edited 3957d ago )

I hope its free without PS+... something like Mass Effect MP DLC

NotSoSilentBob3957d ago

The same thing was claimed for GT5 but since that announcement there hasn't been a single DLC released. PD is saving it and doing group releases. Would be better to do 1 car a month/1 track every other month for .99c and they would make a killing.

Hicken3957d ago

DLC was claimed but didn't come out? That's odd, cuz I've got cars and tracks I know I wasn't playing with when the game first came out.

NotSoSilentBob3952d ago

No what I said was that PD said they would be doing monthly DLC for GT5. After that claim we got Motegi and the HSV-010/2012 GT-R(Nurb)/BRZ and after those it was nothing.

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis3h ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

It's worth a play through today.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron - Coming Back for a New Generation

Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.

jznrpg22h ago

Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.

darthv7222h ago

Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.

Fallout 3's Reveal Led To Death Threats And Bethesda's First Security Guard

The artist behind Fallout 4’s Deathclaw reveals just how bad things got back when Bethesda took over the series

anast1d ago

People are stupid I get it. No one should feel unsafe,

But I think they need to talk about why they cut so many corners during the development process and why none of their games ever look current. And why they think all of this is okay while they charge full price.

LucasRuinedChildhood23h ago

As much as Bethesda deserve criticism, that's not really relevant to the reveal of Fallout 3 in 2007.

VenomUK21h ago

The default angle Kotaku always go for is to highlight the worst in gaming.

I would’ve focused on the creative.

anast2h ago

The game went downhill at Fallout 3's release. This is when they started to cut corners.

gold_drake19h ago

there is no "but". the hell lol
you dont send death threats, period.

anast2h ago

Usually, you have good comments but this isn't one of them. It just rides the mob. We can do both condemn the actions and not let them use it for other things.

I can say I received a death threat and everyone needs to shut up. People are not honest and will use horrible things to their advantage.

Armaggedon15h ago

Not all games “look” current.

anast2h ago

Their games always look like the gen before it.
