The Walking Dead tribute in The Last of Us

So ... it's an homage because they have a tree house and a pool, but they removed the porch because they didn't want it to be too similar and the shed is now not a shed. And it has a sliding door. LOL!!!!

If you have played The Walking Dead you know that the house in walking dead and this one are identical, the three house's position, pool, back door that is a glass slide door, kitchen structure, living room and the other entrannce to the kitchen that is by the stairs.
All are identical.

Now, it is possible that they just copy pasted it because of being lazy designers but we are talking about ND and they have proven people over and over again that they do not need to do something like that.

So it is more possible to be a homage.

It's not a case of whether I'm against the possibility that it's a homage (which in itself sounds an odd concept), it's about whether it is or it isn't ... and this is a stretch to say the least.

I don't want to critize the Last of Us, but I was playing last night, and in a world that's 20years after apocalypse, where every building looks to be looted 20,000x over, I was absolutely shocked to see TP still on the roll, and towels still on their rack. (in one of the houses, at the part where you see wild dogs)

Probably cuz every other house in that suburb with the dogs had spraypainted "I have a gun and will shoot you if you come in" warnings. Not worth risking your life over toilet paper. Unless it was 4 ply ;)

I think I have two TWD TV show references, although I may just be reaching here

1: The burning farm in the beginning. Someone important to the main characters died that night. Shane to Rick, and Sarah to Joel

2: You both go to a High School for supplies. Medical supplies in TWD, and a car battery in TLOU. Otis and Shane part ways in the gym. You fight your first Bloater inside the gym.

Again, may be reaching here, but I like to think they are references
