C.O.G. - "We here at COG were lucky to get a deeper look at the Forza Motorsport 5 during a behind closed door meeting during E3 at the Xbox booth. To get a chance to sit down away from the chaos of crowds and learn more about one of Microsoft’s launch titles was exciting to say the least. One of the first things shown off to us was the in-game hub. It is a seamless experience that provides fewer barriers for players to get around in the game, from racing, tuning, to buying skins or other cars. It is basically one place for the player to go and by using the push of button, or your own voice, you can then go anywhere in the game. It was also noted that every car you see in Forza 5 can be fully explored in the Autovista mode as opposed to only 24 in Forza 4. "
Carlos writes - "When it was time for Forza 5 to rock on up to the track, we were just entering the third generation of Xbox consoles, and to show off all that extra horsepower that would come inside the Xbox One, they wanted a flagship title that could truly showcase just what miracles the next generation could perform. And what better title than Microsoft’s beloved racer!"
Such s supreme racing title. Hands down racing franchise of recent decades. Nothing has come close in quality or ratings.
I liked the game well enough, it was a good starting point for the new gen and helped them build up to what motorsport 7 is now, the controversies wasnt with the numbers of cars or tracks though, it was more to do with the pc footage being passed off as xbox one, the downgrade from what they originally had shown caused more upset than the numbers.
Carlos writes - "It’s time to tweak that tuning setup, perfect those visuals and strap in to that harness before heading down to the track, as Forza Motorsport 5 is calling for all players with a free download now available thanks to Games With Gold!"
James writes - "So here we are with a new month about to begin, and we all know by now that means a number of new games are about to be gifted to all Xbox One and Xbox 360 players via the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for September2017. The free games of last month were passable if truth be told, but can September’s offerings make it a month to remember, or one to skip over?"
Well...lets see. So FM5 is 2013's Racer of the Year, while Oxenfree was nominated and won all types of awards as an indie game in 2016. On the BC side, both games are classics.
Of course they are. The competition between PS Plus and GwG is getting good now, expect more great months on both sides
Great preview. Seems like Forza 5 will be the best in the series.
Looks very promising but I'll reserve judgement and purchasing until after its out and reviewed.
To not include weather and time of day effects in a next gen game is almost inexcusable in my opinion especially when they can be found in other games on existing platforms.
I can't help but wonder if MS has specifically ordered Turn 10 to make the highest graphical fidelity game possible at 1080p60 as a kind of banner showcase system seller even if that means excluding certain features that are GPU intensive.
I hope they keep the sound as is. The engine notes in F4 are the best in any racer I've ever seen, especially the muscle cars.
A definite launch day purchase for me, hopefully they will do a console bundle with this and TitanFall
Well if you look at it, night racing is more of a Le Mons/NASCAR where they have to race at night. Still would be welcome though, but real time weather should've been implemented. I missed the option of putting on rain tires like in games such as GT and MotoGp07/08.
