I went straight for the Bayonetta 2 kiosk as soon as I walked into Nintendo’s E3 2013 booth. The first one is easily one of my favorite games from the last console generation (yes, next-gen is no longer next-gen). So without further ado – here are my Bayonetta 2 impressions.

Someone tell me what the gamepad does for this game? This & rayman are the reasons i bought a wii u.. If id have known it was going to take forever to release, i wouldve waited.. MUCH longer.. only a few 1st party titles i seen from E3 that i want & they dont release until 2014!

Can't say I know for sure about all the details. But I believe the touchscreen allows you to play the game just using the stylus....? It's for newcomers, I think.

I guess it's the Wii U's version of the automatic-play option (Immortal Marionette accessory) that was in the lower difficulties of the first game.

Yup, you can play with the stylus.

I believe you can also play off screen as well... I think a lot of people take for granted the off screen ability of the Wii U...Even if the game doesnt have this awesome intuitive way of integrating the tablet you still can do offscreen in most games..

People automatically assume if you arent using the tablet for asymmetrical game play it is a bust...I cant tell you how many times I have used this feature while my wife does something else with the TV.

The game is being published by NINTENDO.. You cant take a game multi platform if the publisher wont allow it lol...

Bayonetta sold roughly 1M copies across the ps3 and 360... Generally speaking anything less than 1 million sales is considered under performing when talking about a ps3 and 360 game.. Cost of development on the previous gen consoles for a game like Bayonetta is really high so no one was willing to publish the squeal...

Nintendo is publishing this game because they saw an opportunity to bolster their third party support.. No one else had any faith it would succeed on any other platform... So before you say the game will suck on the Wii U ..

please realize it didn't exactly bring down the house on the other platforms..

and what after bayonetta? another mario?? even ubisoft with their rayman wasnt sure it will sell good enough as wiiu exclusive...kamiya just sold his game to nin and doen't care about it anymore

Very happy to purchase Wii purely for this game. Very few games get even close it's magnificence and it's only when you start to understand just why that is, that you also realise just how much the game is worth. You have to love so called gamers when so many of them so little about their hobby and end up supporting the same tired crap. Eventually that bubble's going to burst anyway
