The opening level is set where I'm from, so many of my local friends and I were discussing how it's kinda eerie to see the onset of it all where we're at. Also adds a bit of emotional connection to Joel being a So-Cent Texas boy. No spoilers, but the opening had me hooked.

MP is really thought out and very balanced, it's not a run and gun but more of a wait and see, more of a thing man's game

I am very hopeful this goes on to sell at minimum 5 plus million, please tell all your friends on who a ps3, Sony has done some advertisement(I seen some ads on espn.com and superman movie also had LOU advertisement) but we need to get the word out and really make sure this game is experienced by as many gamers as possible

The opening sequence (The Prologue I should say) was a total glitch fest for me. Anyone else have issues? I had missing audio, unloadable cut-scenes, 5+minute load times, the game automatically skipping cut-scenes and a few other issues. Once the game took off, I have't had any issues, I'm just hoping these don't continue. It's off to a bit of a slow start, but the gameplay is fantastic, can't wait to see what comes up next.

I actually got the game. The problem with this game is that it wasn't hyped up enough like TLOU but than again, Remember Me has a new developer making the game. Whereas TLOU developers have been in the spot light since the success of the Uncharted series.

The game is rather good and enjoyable, I played it about 4 times and got all the trophies in the game. I hope they make a sequel. Gamers who enjoy scifi shouldn't pass this one up!

Anyone who claims exclusives don't matter or that story driven games are a thing of the past should def look at The Last Of Us. Gaming has become a powerhouse and viable medium which continues to grow. It is an ART and goes to show you can achieve great results if you work hard for it.

Sony is in a great position for the start of a new gen. We still have GT6, Beyond and a slew of great exclusives coming to the ps3. It is a perfect way to gain momentum for a new console release for the next gen.

What many of you don't realize is that the game is what, £40 to buy? a ticket for two people to a cinema is £15 max therefore if TLOU sold 1/2 the copies of admission tickets to the cinema for two people it still grossed more. point is this is not that magnificent of an achievement, though it is nice to see good games doing well.

I was about to ask 'what's with the Spielberg/Lucas hate?' Then I looked up the stories.

Looks like people didn't see the full conversation with those two. Very few directors have actually been as positive about the future of videogames as entertainment than Lucas and Spielberg. For heavens sake, LucasArts adventure games pretty much popularised the story-based gaming genre!

You have to take their comments in context. They were trying to inspire young FILMMAKERS. They weren't gonna say, 'don't bother', even though they did PREDICT games taking over from (or taking up a large share of) film and have done many times. And the comment about characters is, I believe, more of a 'general' statement about the wider spread of videogames, rather than about titles like The Last of Us.

And, let's be honest here guys, the VAST majority of videogames don't put character first (at least before things such as working 'gameplay' elements like shooting, jumping, driving etc.), and another majority of games simply don't have the technical prowess to reach film-level emotional characterisation (no matter how good the faces in Mass Effect were, I wouldn't say they were capable of subtle or 'nuanced' performances) - that will change and is...

Games like the Last of Us prove that games are close and in many cases surpassing this threshold, but let's not get on our high horses just yet - not when the Call of Duty series is one of the highest selling franchises and shooters continue to storm us into the uncanny valley (even Uncharted asks us to ignore our lovable hero's mass genocide of thousands of faceless baddies - sure it works in the context of the game's story, but it IS incongruous with his emotional characterisation. Even James Bond takes his killing to heart. In UC, on this issue, it was a case of gameplay first - the developers have said this was a restriction.)

I think people need to understand that games have to achieve a different 'kind' of storytelling to convey characters well. Even in the Last of Us, an amazing, brilliant, emotional game, we, as players, spend most of our time staring at the back of the main character's head (apart from in cut-scenes which are clearly 'emulating' film). This isn't a bad thing. It's just different. We 'role-play' as Joel. This is the point.

It's like novelists arguing that novels will always have deeper characters than film. There IS some truth to that, but it's a statement that could easily be argued with. Of course, perhaps they are just supporting the inherent strengths of their medium (length, hearing character's thoughts) based on its obvious and necessary qualities, rather than attacking film?

I love videogames as a storytelling medium. I think they are one of the most exciting places to explore characters. But I think the reaction to Spielberg and Lucas's comments is more interesting than the comments themselves. Gamers are so defensive about games. We feel the need to champion the maturity of the medium at every turn. Perhaps the fact we feel like we have to, tells us that games (as a whole) haven't yet made that statement for themselves and haven't become culturally accepted as an art-form. I would argue games are an art-form. But it's not about my/our view. The only way the idea of games can take on this conceptual shift is by slowly changing the landscape of titles that are out there. Games like The Last of Us definitely change that landscape, but one game outselling a movie won't move mountains.

However, raging at artists or critics that say otherwise just emphasises the impression of gamers as immature fanboys. Let the games speak for themselves, with a minimum of 'I told you so'. Time will tell.

30% into it and i just feel like im playing Uncharted again. I dont know, i like the game but im just not seeing all the hype here. The intro was great and the story so far, but other than it seems like the same kind of gameplay. Shoot, crouch and sneak.

Also, the enemies i have an issue with. How many more times do i need to shoot a zombie in a game? I know they are the infected and clickers, but comon i feel like ive been here before. Maybe ive just played too many damn games. Hopefully, it will get better here and start to pick up!

People bashing Remember Me, and honestly i was having a better time with that! At least i felt like i was playing something different for a change. Bizarre and different enemies, intense audio and world, different style gameplay and nice graphics.
