At E3 2013 last week, Austin caught up with Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya for a brief chat. Kamiya shared an interesting nugget about the Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 development teams.
According to Kamiya, because The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 groups work in the same space, there’s often some (lighthearted) rivalry between the two. He can look over his desk and see what is going on with Bayonetta and feel as though he needs to one-up their intense action scenes, so in an indirect way, the games may bleed over into one another slightly.
Vice president Hideki Kamiya, director Yosuke Matsumura and producer Yuji Nakao discuss the standalone release.
Bayonetta's character design and abilities have changed a lot since the series debuted in 2009, with new costumes and dark arts in every title.
Many fans have been expressing their disappointment with Bayonetta 3. Here's why the recently released game is a clear step down from Bayonetta 2.
I thought they focused on big kaiju like fights which felt gimmicky and thy brought this new character in to try and get away from the leading star
*Spoilers*
I mean they pretty much killed 3 big characters. They killed Jeanne, Luka and Bayonetta herself and it's not the fact they died it's how they died, we've seen Jeanne and Bayonetta survive countless things yet they go out by the lamest ways possible.
NICE
Platinum studios made Okami, Viewtiful Joe and God Hand. All legendary.
This is what i call super talented team, Nintendo might be so proud of all the hard work these guys are doing, at the end it's gonna pay off :)
Both will flop sales wise even if the games are excellent. Nintendo gamers don't buy 3rd party titles.
