Metal Gear Solid V Extended E3 2013 Trailer Analysis

On Monday June 10th, Kojima showed a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at Microsoft’s E3 conference. The next Wednesday, an extended cut was released, intended for mature audiences.

So close to CGI and this game isn't even close to what the new consoles are capable of. This will be the gen where real life gets beaten by games. I want to see if CD Projekt red stays true to their word about the game looking like the trailer.

Hey Nyxus, I think that the woman who was getting the bomb (or whatever that is) removed from her bowels is Dr. Strangelove. It looks like her, and the amount of concern that we see in Chico's eyes as they remove it, shows that they cared about this woman.

Also, the man in the Diamond Dogs hat looks like Colonel Campbell, But younger of course.

How? That woman was clearly older looking, much taller (Paz is only a little bit taller than Chico), also, Paz has a roundish face and large anime-like eyes. And VERY long hair.

The woman in the clip had a narrow face, white/blondish hair, was middle aged, tall, and had a haircut reminiscent of Olga from MGS 2 (Just the same kinda hair cut that Dr. Strangelove had).

ALL of those features fit Dr. Strangelove. Even if i'm wrong about it being the Dr., there's still no reason or evidence to believe that is Paz. Not even close. Just because they took a device out of her that had a peace sign on it, doesn't explain away all of the things that I mentioned above. That person looks nothing like Paz. Not the same haircut, hair-color, height, body shape, or peer group (age).

Seeing that Kojima wants to make this game as real as possible, I wouldn't be surprised if he changed her facial features.

Also, it's assumed that in the ground zeroes portion of the game, she is captured and being tortured along side Chico . She would have to be malnourished, looking more pale as ever, and possibly a haircut to diminish her female features.

Plus in the extended E3 trailer, you see Chico, who looked like he snapped out of his torture, since big boss successfully rescued him and is helping snake keep that girl down from the pain she was experiencing while removing that device from her, which is pretty much assumed that they are still at camp omega, in which BIg Boss is in process of rescuing her as well.

Also the report did say FOR A FACT that kojima says that the man in the Diamond Dogs beret is not Colonel Campbell and IS in fact Master Miller.

Miller sure looks a lot different. A lot harder hearted--but 9 years of being in a torchure camp will do that to you.

Everyone who thinks the fucking guy with the Beret is CAMPBELL is a moron. I see so many stupid people honestly keep saying this and spreading the idiotic 'theorizing' WAY TOO FAR. Just as stupid as people were to say the person in the Phantom Pain, when we knew the character had brown hair and mullet, there was some minority group who kept speculating that it was infact LIQUID SNAKE - as retarded as that sounds.

The man with the Beret is Kaz Miller, no one else. Period. Spread the word on that and that alone. Kaz Miller is missing a right arm when captured, CAMPBELL IS NOT MISSING A RIGHT ARM. Same fucking Shades as Kaz is another gigantic hint and Kaz has more accurate hair of the Beret-wearer than the people who constantly nag about Portable-Ops-version of Campbell....

So....sick and tired of hearing Campbell-theorists....

@a_bro I have no idea. Yet it's like, people are allowed their own opinion, but I'm really hating on the concept that people are only thinking up crazier and even dumber theories that contradict reality or what their eyes see just so they don't hop on the 'Obvious Bandwagon'. It's like it's not enough for people to simply side with what seems the most logical and so they have to make like an art critic and try to say the most outrageously warped and fucked up thing in hopes their perception is Unique or profound.

That's what I theorize on why idiots can't simply agree with what blatantly is the most logical truth. There are brilliant minds out there who've even already deduced a great connection with Eli to Liquid and THAT...has absolute logic in it. Yet saying ZOMG CAMPBELL CUZ HAIR IS SIMILAR (And nothing else). I've traveled to many MGS5 related articles on many sites only to see the same Campbell theory, it grinds me nerves.

the only thing that bothers me with the new MGS is that will not have real life weaponry ...all the weapons which are present are modeled to look like their real counterparts ..why Kojima ??all previous games used real world weapons (and some characters had their own characteristic equipement)..why you changed this for V?

Its Huey, Hal's father, from peace walker. His face is wrinkled if you watch the HD footage.

THIS Emmerich is the one who helped to create Metal Gear. This is the father of Otacon. The series tends to repeat themes over & over--as if the characters and their offspring were stuck in a simulation. But that's a whole other story...

Well, there was a good 2-3 minutes of gameplay in there, which is as long or longer than most trailers already

Take it from previous MGS games I believe this is in game. I don't see Kojima doing other wise.

The trailers from MGS are cinematic in a way that are different and unique compared to other cinematic scenes in games.

Kojima really knows how to direct and produce a scene different from others.

I notice also that female singers are very involved with the MGS series for the music, which is a very good touch.
