Ubisoft Alludes to Shared Assassin's Creed and Watch_Dogs Universe

Elder-Geek.com says: "During a show floor interview with our very own Randy Yasenchak this past week at E3, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag game director Ashraf Ismail chose his words very carefully when asked about AC4 and Watch_Dogs sharing the same universe."

I'm thinking that the blackout in the Watchdogs universe that took place 1-5 years before the start of the game was actually the effect of the (Spoilers) Solar event that happened at the end of assassins creed 3.

I hope the dude from Watch_Dogs is the one who hacks into the Animus at the end of 3.

It's a little bit hard to imagine the first civilization being part of the same world as Watch Dogs though...

PhantomT14123958d ago

Open-world, disrupting a tightly-controlled system, it wouldn't surprised me to learn that Watch Dogs was originally developed as a next-gen Assassin's Creed sequel just like AC was first intended to be a X360/PS3 gen Price of Persia episode.

-Gespenst-3959d ago

Waaaaaa? Damn, I wasn't gonna bother getting Watch Dogs but now it looks like I might have to. Urrgh.

shutUpAndTakeMyMoney3959d ago (Edited 3959d ago )

I was gonna get watch dogs cuz it looks awsome.

But AC is is still cool. I see no other assassin game like it anyway.

Shadonic3958d ago

On the first civilization thing you have to look at it from the outside looking in. On the inside its the assassins assassins creed series they know of all that stuff. On the outside its Aiden peirce where to him he sees CTos as just a machine a tool, a weapon, Now think of it from an assassins perspective or a Templars to keep the world connected and society in control like the Templar want Ctos could just be another tool at their disposal after the black out. Thinking of the 2 games seperately it dosent make since but if you really put all the peices together and think along the lines of someone on the outside of the conflict Aiden and someone on the inside Desmond it all connects.

-Gespenst-3958d ago

Yeah you make good points, but then should we expect to see Abstergo Entertainment Industry office buildings dotted across the Watch Dogs map?

Also if Aiden really is on the 'outside' of it all, how on earth has he come to possess such crazy technology to control the CtOS? Sounds like something only a real insider would have.

Also, there was a blackout in AC, but only in 2012 so far as we know, not 2003.

KrisButtar3959d ago

Aiden Pearce is actually going after the Templars or maybe the system he hacked was set up by them?

extermin8or3959d ago

Imagine system is set up by them, so they'd have backdoor access-make more sense; stay as a shadow controlling a puppet rather than the ones in charge-makes it harder for someone to hunt you down. I doubt there will be more than easter eggs in this one but thinking watch_dogs will probably get sequels maybe there will be more too it... well I mean after all we know Aiden can free run, has some hacking accomplaces that assist him, what if one of them was actually an Assassin? hmmm interesting idea I guess-paving the way for a modern da mean he's pretty handy with that baton...

Conzul3958d ago

Eeeew no, please don't pollute Watch_Dogs with AC's miserable cannon.

DarkBlood3959d ago

well great, i want to get watch dogs and assasin creed 4 much faster now lol, i should probably get assasin creed 3 before hand, should be cheaper now.

ironfist923959d ago

It would be awesome if we see Aiden meet up with William Miles at the end.

Hey Ubi, here's a gun, don't shoot yourself in the foot.

At this point, only dummies have any hope left for Ubi-junk games.
