Zelda On Wii U Won’t Be Ultra-Realistic, But Not Cartoony Realistic Either

I think by cartoony realistic they mean realistic, but cartoony at the same time (like skyward sword), So the new game will probably mix the realism of Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. I wonder how that'd turn out.

Yeah, that was my first thought too. The Wind Waker is more on the "cartoony" side and Twilight Princess is more on the "realistic" side, but Skyward Sword is somewhere in the middle. It had a cartoony style ad color scheme, but more realistic proportions for the characters.

Do I know what he is taking about... no.

Will I complain when I see the finally art style... maybe.

Will I buy it... Yes.

Will I enjoy it... YES.

(At 1st I was disappointed with WW and then SS but once I played them and got past the Space World Tech Demo before WW and the News Report for a photorealistic before SS (they actually changed the art-style of SS before we saw it but described it as something different) I enjoyed the game play and the graphics. Seeing things in motion, working in concert, changes my view of the art screen shots.

SS is now one of my favorite Zeldas in Gameplay and Art style- and WW has great graphics too.

I wonder if they will do realistic but then add in another Artistic Master's Style. SS was based off Monet- maybe Zelda WiiU will have some Van Gogh inspirations- or someone else.

This game will be beautiful. After seeing how hard they worked on Mario Kart 8, I know they will give their all to Zelda. :)

Less talking about what the game will look like and show the damn thing. I hate when they do things like this and we have nothing real to back it up. Imagine if Naughty Dog never showed Uncharted but then went on to describe what artistic style it would use, they would be laughed at, so why does nintendo get away with it?

I'm sure Naughty Dog answered questions in interviews before about games they were working on that weren't ready to be shown.

With Zelda's Track record from the Original to SS-

If they never talked about the Next Zelda but one day Nintendo just says, "Tomorrow we will release a NEW Zelda game."

And if I got to the store and the box was black and white with not pictures on it.

I would still buy it on DAY ONE if I could.

Zelda has proven itself over and over.

I hope they dont mess this up.. That tech demo is what i want zelda to look like.. Not cell shaded or that cartoony look they like to use.. We will see i guess.. If it doesnt take advantage of the wii u's power, that will be such a wasted opportunity.. Only time will tell i guess.. One thing is for sure, it will be a great game regardless of looks.. But looks add to greatness so please dont screw it up from being a complete masterpiece.. Most previewers are already underwhelmed by all the ND direct games' graphics that have been outed..

I have no doubt it will look stunning and be a true showcase of the wii u's power. I feel like it will have slightly more realistic charcter models with a Pixar esque flair to it. I do think they should have chosen a different game to use in the tech demo though cause at this point I can see a lot of disappointment if they go with a different style a la wind waker.
