Synergy Between PS4 and PS Vita Is Crucial According to SCEJA President

The remote play functionality between PS4 and PS Vita has been seen by many as a strong selling point for Sony’s portable console, up to the point that it could considerably raise its adoption within the gaming audience, that has been growing but isn’t yet stellar.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia President Hiroshi Kawano seems to understand that very well.

Vita better have some JRPGs at GTS

Kotaku showed a big number of upcoming Vita games, but the PS4vsXB1 noise was to strong for them to get thru and for game sites to talk about it.

Abriael3960d ago

Totally agree (I guess you mean TGS?)

Especially they need to localize what they have in the west (and they have a whole lot).

Even not just JRPGs but Japanese games in general. I'm looking forward to Freedom Wars and Exstetra for instance.

Minato-Namikaze3960d ago

If they dont want to release a big budget version can we get dark cloud 3, legend of the dragoon 2, and legend of legaia 3 on the vita?

Abriael3960d ago

A man can dream, can't he?

sashimi3960d ago (Edited 3960d ago )

i'm still waiting for the original legend of legaia on psn lol

Legend of Dragoon idk the ending was perfect

Sanquine903960d ago

This feature will be neat! If you are tired of playing on the big screen or forced like me because the girlfriend wants to watch her soaps.. You can go further on the vita:D

PositiveEmotions3960d ago

Hopefully the next naruto game on ps4 has remote play.

Gridloc3960d ago (Edited 3960d ago )

i read that Sony said that remote play is part of the PS4 hardware and they are only asking developers to include a controll scheme for Vita. Too cool...

Abriael3960d ago (Edited 3960d ago )

yep, that's how it will be. Much better than the opt in policy they had with the PSP, that had a crappy remote play tech anyway, since it ate processing power.

patsrule3163960d ago

In addition to remote play, I am hoping they can also make the vita as a second screen device for the PS4 as well. Apparently they are doing that for the Deus Ex remake coming out, but I want to see it for more games, like Watch Dogs, The Division, and Need for Speed Rivals, which all can use 'tablets' for second screen activities...why not have the vita be the second screen?

Sony is forecast to lose billion at the end of this fiscal year so it doesn't surprise me.

Rimeskeem3529d ago

It could also be that working at such high positions for 29 years earned him a lot of money to retire.

700p3529d ago

Maybe he bought a xbox one.

danny8183529d ago

Lol nintendo has more money at this point

dantesparda3529d ago (Edited 3529d ago )

You dont care about facts eh? Just whatever you believe. Fact Sony has a 19 billion, Nintendo 16 billion. Yeah, Nintendo has more money.

And Tbone, is all you do is troll? Why are you so obsessed with Sony?

SoapShoes3529d ago

Bunch of Xbox fanboys clamoring over this I see. How anyone can agree with you is beyond me.

MegaRay3529d ago

Dont wanna your last bubble, hah kido?

Vurczi3528d ago (Edited 3528d ago )

It was already stated that he is retiring. So, it has nothing to do with sony losing money.

That too bad. Good luck with whatever you do next Mr Kawano.

NewMonday3530d ago

he has to take responsibility for the troubles of PS4 in Japan.

TitanUp3530d ago

other than handhelds, console sales have been down in sales for a long time in Japan. a boost here and there but nothing like it used to be.

Not exactly this guys fault that the ps4 isn't selling well in Japan.

MrSwankSinatra3530d ago (Edited 3530d ago )

What does him retiring have to do with the troubles of the PS4? The guy has been working for Sony since 1985, so that's 29 years employed at one company. Maybe the guy wanted to just retire already. Not everything is a conspiracy dude.

NewMonday3529d ago

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has been the weakest link for years, on his watch the PlayStation brand declined heavily he should have pushed with strong ideas but they were too few and too week.

DonDon3529d ago

Could Yoshida take the position?

Chaos_Raiden3529d ago

Hope he have a good retirement.

Torque_CS_Lewith3529d ago

Thank you for the service sir, enjoy a life of leisure and gardening and your new boss; Mrs Kawano!

HappyWithOneBubble3529d ago
