Possible reveal of Uncharted 4 or new Crash Bandicoot game

Sony recently released their “Greatness awaits” promotional video for Playstation. The set is alight with all types of Easter eggs for Sony’s upcoming, past, and present games. However we think we have spotted one or two that have managed to sneak by without any attention.

Crash Bandicoot was sold off (Originally owned by Naughty Dog now in Activision's hands). Somewhat related Spyro was sold off as well (Originally Insomniac now also controlled by Activision).

Naughty Dog/Sony does still own rights to Jak and Daxter though and they could reboot/continue that if need be. I doubt this would happen because Naughty Dog and their friends Insomniac (they started up in the same building and have had employees go back and forth to work for the other and have also been known to share ideas; Sucker Punch is also loosely related to the two companies) have an unofficial tradition of creating new IPs with each new console generation. In Naughty Dog's case you had Crash on the PS1, Jak & Daxter on the PS2, and Uncharted on the PS3. God only knows what new IP series Naughty Dog will do for the PS4, but judging by their history it should be pretty damn good.

It is one of the properties of Activision. I don't believe Sony ever owned it to begin with, though. It was always Universal, but they hired Naughty Dog to develop it for the Playstation.

As much as I will love Uncharted 4, a part of me is hoping for another new ip from them. We have already seen 3 uncharted games in last 6 years and personally I am a little burnt out on it. I want them to tackle a new genre like they did with The Last of Us. Maybe a open world game, rpg, or a fps. A fps from them could be something that can revitalize the fps genre which has been filled with generic clones for so long. Or a really grounded and story driven open world game with amazing graphics. And after creating a new ip they can do uncharted 4,in 3-4 years from now, by which time it would had been a while since a uncharted game and everybody will be genuinely excited for the uncharted game. No matter what they unveil next it will be an amazing game, but I think ND is too talented to stay keep producing a game of one genre when they can do miracles for other ones too :D

I agree with this as well. With the amazing talent at Naughty Dogs and the outcome of their new IP The Last of US, it would great if they can recreate that level of quality pumped up to many times more on the PS4 with a new IP.

I love the Uncharted games but I too think they should announce a new IP for the PS4 before doing an Uncharted 4. We have had 3 on the PS3 and 1 on the Vita (which I have yet to play, because I don't own a Vita yet). I can't wait to pick up my copy of The Last Of Us tomorrow as well. But the best thing ND can do is follow their tradition of each console gen bringing a new IP. It was a bonus that we got two from them with the PS3 though.

Crash Team Racing has already been confirmed about a week ago, I think it may have even been PS4's official Facebook page that revealed it.

Like I said, check out PS4 Official Facebook page. Its a picture they uploaded saying "Are you ready?" or something like that & then it had the Crash racing games cases from around the world in all different languages & styles...

Uncharted 4 will be on ps4. Trust me, I bet the next time naughty dog shows off something it has to be a new uncharted. It sells very well so why wouldnt they make another & besides we all know its not going to be just a half azzed uncharted game. Just like I told many who try & say tomb raider took away uncharted crown which it didnt but the last of us came along & put tomb raider in its place. Hope its a new uncharted or new ip. Id love a new crash but i dont think its going to happen.

Just finished Uncharted 3, and as fun as it was, I hope they don't make another one. The series was good, and should stay like that. I hope it's Crash Bandicoot, I miss that game so much.

As much as i liked Uncharted 3, it was sick.. Uncharted 2 for me was the one, environments, story, pacing, final levels all just trumped Uncharted 3 which i felt had some serious pacing issues, and the ending was a bit meh for me (only compared to 2).

If it is Uncharted 4, i'd like to see the original team go back to it, the team that did Uncharted 2 and The Last Of Us. It will need a bit of innovation though, otherwise it will suffer from repetition (game play mechanics).

Deep Down, the game where we have seen nothing apart from cutscenes? Yeah, you can totally see how good the gameplay is! And comparing brand new tech (cutscenes could be pre-rendered for all we know), to 7 year old hardware is totally fair for graphics!

Naughty Dog also hold 2 out of the top 5 highest rated PS3 games on metacritic.

Honestly I know some people want Naughty Dog to do another Uncharted or new IP for the PS4, but f*ck that I want a new Jak and Daxter. And they did say they were thinking of doing a Jak 4 before doing The Last Of Us so there's hope...kinda...it's never going to happen.

Y'know, I appreciate Sony wanting to always make new IPs, but sometimes it gets really f*cking annoying when a game you love (in my case Jak, Legend of Dragoon and Dark Cloud) are never to be seen again.
