TSA:
I happened to be over on the PlayStation YouTube channel checking out some of the new PS4 trailers when I noticed that a behind-the-scenes video had been put up for the pretty sweet ‘Greatness Awaits’ PS4 ad that Sony released this week. On its own, the video isn’t all that exciting – just a short look at what went into the ad in terms of effects and costumes – but I suddenly realised that we’d seen this shoot before, back in April. Don’t remember that? Maybe because back then we believed it to be a Grand Theft Auto V live-action commercial that was filming.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. To celebrate the formula and parse the best from the best, have a look at the best open-world games of all time so far.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 are both classics, but movement and general interaction sometimes feels like you're possessed by a fridge.
Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…
The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.
Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games
I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
Maybe GTA5 will be PS4 exclusive for 8th gen.
Good speculation
I imagine Rockstar coming out with this late next year, not this September.
Maybe an "Ultimate Edition" or "Episodes from the Back O'Beyond" will come to the PS4?
I doubt there's timed exclusitivity on Xbox after Somy revealed their exclusive GTAV bundles at E3.
GTAV exclusive ps3 bundle is a system seller, u already know that will be sold out & microsoft just hurt themselves even more just by not debunking all the used game issues. I have a feeling the xbox one was built with the intention to block used games & there is no way around it that is why kinect is packed into every system & is why those dedicated cloud servers are there for the purpose to check when users try an let a friend use their game. Basically microsoft took a gamble & was hoping that the majority of their fanbase would stick with them no matter what only to see it backfire on them otherwise they wouldve went with plan B & just drop the whole issue altogether. I believe they will still go full force & try an sell it with very strong advertisements. You know they will throw billions to advertise the hell out of it because they have the money to do it & they know it. I really hope this blows up in their face & makes them go back to the drawing board.
Well R* did have exclusive content with them at E3 and there was a GTA V edition of the pulse headset
