Elder Scrolls Online Delayed

From DevilsMMO

"If you were excited for all the next-gen console news to come out of E3, there's one small rain cloud attached to the whole thing. The Elder Scrolls Online for PC, originally due in Summer 2013, has been delayed to Spring 2014, to coincide with the release of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game."

"If you buy it on PS4, you'll play with people on PS4. If you play on PC, you'll play with people on PC. If you play on Xbox One, you may just be alone if reaction in the last week is anything to go by..."

If anything this game is still going to be awesome

I'm hearing a lot of mixed reports. A lot of MMO gamers seem a little put off after seeing more, while Elder Scrolls fans seem stupidly excited.

The deal breaker will be whether it's subscription based or not.

I am one of the "stupidly excited." lol but I'll never likely play it because I only have Internet while at work. I'm thinking there is going to be a subscription as I figured they would have yelled from every roof top that it wasn't. Consoles seem to be getting the bad deal though as you have to pay to online MP and then pay the monthly subscription. Its not written in stone yet but I would like to see maybe MMO's in general not behind the online MP pay walls both Sony and Mircosoft have and I think that needs to happen to truely have the MMO's flourishon consoles

@KrisButtar

I don't have a source for it, but I'm sure Sony said that the MP Paywall was optional to developers - IE. they can choose to pay some of the lost PS+ fees from a monthly subscription/microtransactions .

Fingers crossed, although I'm not sure how successful an MMO would need to be to make that profitable for a developer.

@matgrowcott I know SE was planning on talking to Sony once they returned to Japan about PS+ requirements. Warframe and DCUO won't have the PS+ requirement, so there is hope for other MMOs and F2P games.

Delaying a game just because they can, Serious trolling..
