It's pretty funny. Now the CoD devs have had their trademark "60 FPS feel" ripped from them. Blatant laziness shows.

Heartnet3965d ago

Blatent laziness? what cause on a new powerful console Dice have finally managed to get 60 fps on battlefield, whereas on previous console this was no possible but for Activision it was...

I dont see any laziness anywhere

SeanScythe3964d ago

Yes because COD and BF3 are on the same playing field. /s

You're kidding right, BF3 has levels big enough to fit all of COD's levels inside just one of them. Also destructible environments, 32 players on console, squads and vehicles, planes, boats, ATV's, Choppers, tanks. COD has small tight confined levels, 16 players online, no vehicles, and free kills for getting kill-streaks.

Read.

During today’s live streaming of Battlefield 4 multiplayer at E3, DICE confirmed in an on-screen interview that the PlayStation 4 version will indeed support 64 players. When the game was unveiled yesterday EA’s E3 press conference, DICE said that the Xbox One would support 64 players, but there was no mention of 64 players on the PS4. Both next-gen consoles will run the game at 60 frames per second as well.

Twilightx73965d ago

Do you guys even read the articles? It was confirmed to have 64 players on XBox One early in the day, this story serves to confirm that it has 64 players on PS4 as well.

MariaHelFutura3965d ago

No problem, I read 10% of the articles on N4G. Thanks for the clarification.

MariaHelFutura3965d ago

it works for me, 90% of articles are garbage.

inf3cted13965d ago

I guess you like to read garbage then

MariaHelFutura3965d ago

No, everyonce and a while I'll say something stupid, like everyone else. It's usually from not reading somethimg I should have. It's a decent trade off for evading garbage.

jmac533965d ago

Not reading 90% of the time leads to saying stupid things 100% of the time.

MariaHelFutura3965d ago

Not when 90% are 90% garbage. This getting pretty math heavy. :P

torchic3964d ago

I don't read all the articles sure but at least I don't walk into the comments and then comment like I've read the article.

but if it works for you then I guess it's all good.

leogets3964d ago

ea conference when they showed campaign on shitflops they said its 60 fps.

Cuzzo633964d ago

Wonder where all the pc extremist are that promised 720p and 30 fps on PS4. Looks like Sony pulled a move on them also while fooling MS into DRM

Vip3r3965d ago

Maybe the lack of RAM on the X1 is hampering it?

WorldGamer3965d ago

They might be able to do 30 players at 30 fps. Not ideal, but still a step up on the X1. Who knows tho, maybe they are still working out the kinks.

tuglu_pati3965d ago

"When the game was unveiled yesterday EA’s E3 press conference, DICE said that the Xbox One would support 64 players, but there was no mention of 64 players on the PS4. Both next-gen consoles will run the game at 60 frames per second as well."

please read the article before you guys comment, makes you look silly.

WorldGamer3965d ago

Lol, calm down son, just poking a little fun is all. No need to get all sensitive. I'm sure the X1 will be a fine system.

ExCest3965d ago (Edited 3965d ago )

I doubt it. BF3 only used about 3.5-4 GB on the PC version (with Windows running total) so I'm pretty sure the Xbox One has enough ram.

ALSO, read the article. It says, "DICE said that the Xbox One would support 64 players, but there was no mention of 64 players on the PS4. Both next-gen consoles will run the game at 60 frames per second as well."

Nafon3965d ago

Yep. If the dev is at least semi-talented, they shouldn't need too much RAM anyways. BF3 on max settings used at most 1.25-2GB of RAM (not counting windows of course) on my PC. I think they put 8GB in the one for the multitasking sh*t.

The only times I've maxed out the 8GB on my PC was when Windows 8 first came out and BF3 had a memory leak bug with it lol.

WorldGamer3965d ago

I thought this was divulged yesterday. Sounds sick tho, but most of my friends will get it on PS3..... might need to abandon those guys to game in the Next gen. lol.

Rearden3965d ago

It's 64 players on Xbox One and 60 fps, they said it during the reveal yesterday. Both next gen system run the game at 60 fps and support 64 players. No word on whether it's 720 or 1080p.

LAWSON723965d ago

Them not saying probably means 720p because if it was 1080p wouldnt you want to clarify that.

ExCest3965d ago

Didn't they say 720p before or was that just speculation?

I have a feeling they might do 720p so they can add AA and other stuffs while keeping 60 fps.

flipflopfacts3965d ago

Actually someone release faked info about the game being 720p at 60fps. He later came out and admitted they were fake.

ExCest3965d ago

@^ Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks!

mrmancs3965d ago

I only have one thing to say > :-)

Battlefield 1, Hardline, BF4 Servers Are Being Taken Offline by Cheaters; EA Silent on Issue

Cheaters & hackers have been causing grief on Battlefield 1, Hardline & BF4 servers, with nonstop DDoS attacks among other things. Unfortunately, EA has remained silent about it.

-Foxtrot753d ago

Course they are silent, they are hoping people flock to 2042

gamesftw250752d ago

Maybe it was a inside job then haha.

jeromeface751d ago

wouldnt be the first time, titanfall 1+2 anyone?

PapaBop752d ago

Not even if they paid me.. EA always do this with old games with less money potential, if this was Ultimate Team, they'd address and sort it faster than stories could spread. Why invest time in their products when they will just dump it in the following years? Then again EA never could see the forest for the trees.

Inverno752d ago

I imagine after those games were given out for free a couple months back through Amazon, anything that makes people go to 2042 is a plus for them

XiNatsuDragnel753d ago

They want people to go on 2042. My theory

excaliburps752d ago

Nah. I think they can't do anything about it or they want to sink money into fixing it.

Pudge102888752d ago (Edited 752d ago )

EA owns all BF servers so yes, they can do something about it but they refuse to because they dont want ppl playing their old games instead of the new one. Its EA we’re talking about here

pr33k33752d ago

if this happened in 2042, they'd have something to say. which is weird, considering battlefield 1 has more players on steam right now.

Pudge102888752d ago

Its so obvious that EA is doing this or hired ppl to mess up the games so that we’d be forced to have just 1 Battlefield working.

FPS_D3TH752d ago

Honestly it’s probably the devs themselves. They did an update to bf4 way back that kinda made assault rifles doo doo in hopes that people would flock to BF1 cuz BF4 was too perfect

There's a bunch of great shooters on gamepass; both legacy and new.

A recommendation I have is a work in progress preview title called Anacrusis. It's a lot of fun, and has a cool aesthetic.
