That reported difference of being 8.5k behind this past week in the US is more than negated by the Europe numbers.

That's what confuses me, though: it's been like this for years, for most of the generation, and yet VGChartz has always maintained the same lead. Then, suddenly, they finally admitted PS3 was ahead.

I won't say that these numbers are any more factual than they ever have been, but inaccurate or not, they've definitely shown something many have tried to deny for years.

Guess the only positive we can take from the Vita numbers is that it didn`t loose compared to last week and that it sells more then Wii U.

Agree with Kratos above me, that thing should get a price cut and more games. It is a great handheld with some very good games, it just needs more of great games and maybe a slightly smaller price point.

Vita has the same amount of great games as 3DS, just look at Gamerankings or Metacritics.

Vita needs only a price cut.

3DS might have slightly more. I just don`t hear that much biz about Vita games. I love my Vita and currently playing Person 4, again after playing it on PS2, but it`s a bit quiet around it. I look forward to Freedom Wars a lot and also to some extend to Killzone, but I wouldn`t mind more advertisement for Vita games.

I believe sony should match the price with 3ds to sell very well so many great game come out for the vita. vita is looking bad in the u.s as well

If they did that they'd bleed money. The vita cost $159 to make if they drop the prices down to match the 3ds then they'll easily lose $50-60 bucks on every vita sold. The current price ensures they bring in money rather than lose.

PS3 passed the 360 a long time ago - VGchartz being the last one to report it. I wonder why this talks about the European sales yet got the WW picture next to it. The US sales chart got the right picture next to that one.

Why the lil spike in wii u sales? Did something come out? Anyway, im living in the wrong country.. PS3 is selling the highest over in EU but out here in the US, its the bro/dude 360 that sells the most.. Most games release out here in the US before EU though..

Indeed the US machine sells the most in US, while the Japanese one sells the most on the other markets (in home console category).
