The Big MGSV Reveal, And a Few Notes on The Recasting of Big Boss

Same here. Loved Pierce as Bond. All of the Bond actors have been at least decent, but I liked Brosnan the best.

He said in the behind scenes video that he doesn't play video games but he seems like he is really committed to it regardless.

I think he will do just fine. And I think the game will be better because of him.

I went from a fan to a hayter. I will be buying the game used though. Hopefully Hayter will be back after this new va fails so hard in the game.

Not on the XBOXONE you won't, and I hardly think he will fail. Hayter is still in the mix, a guy losing his job is not gonna gloat all over the internet about it. His pride would be in the way

Kratos will be voiced and facialized by Elijah Woods.

While im not Happy about the change, I'm OK with it. I think he'll do fine. But I'm still unsure of the reasoning. I hope there's an answer other then 'we just felt like changing him'.

This is not Kiefer's first romp in the gaming world. He has already won an award from voice acting in games. So I think he will do well.

Me: Because you don't sound like you when you're hungry.

This article actually makes a good point that many have been ignoring.
Facial motion capture is a big thing now in game development, while indeed animators can still go in and fix up animations but the bulk of the time to do that now lies on polishing more than hand animating every frame.

Hayter, as iconic of a voice he has isn't an actor. He's a writer, he's a voice actor. But it'll be taking too much time for him — which I think is what Kojima fears — to go and get himself accustomed to a Snake voice + facial acting going.
