PlayStation has a leg up when it comes to your living room as far as media devices go. They already have a line of TV's and stand alone blu-ray players and their smart TV's do just about everything the Xbox One will do.
As for the used game market, GameStop will end up lowering their prices on used games, but that means they'll give even less for trade in values.
I think neither of the console manufacturers want to admit what their machine will require from users.
