Konami’s E3 2013 pre-show will have “key announcements”

Konami's E3 2013 pre-show will be about Metal Gear Solid V, Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2, and Pro Evolution Soccer. But that's not all.

Announce a REAL Silent Hill game made by Hideo Kojima with Fox Engine on next-gen and composed by Akira Yamaoka and it will even eclipse MGSV.

Kojima wouldn't make the game. he simply said he would want one made using the Fox Engine. They need to get a competent game director and developement team to make it.

I heard him say that he would not be the one to direct it. I also wasn't implying that Kojima is not a competent director because he obviously is. I just meant that they need to find a great director to lead the development of the game since Kojima would not do it himself.

Kojima's got bigger fish to fry. He would just pass it off to platinum again. Rising is just not as important as the main mgs cannon, silent hill or mgo (or anything else kojima's talent is better spent working on).

Yeah but they dont need kojima's time and talent to make it. The gameplay, cinematography, goofy story, cheesy dialog, etc had NOTHING to do with kojima. It was all Platinum Games. It just didnt gave that metal gear magic. It was good, but it felt like a platinum game entirely. They just suck at story telling. Plus Rising felt like it could jave been a whole new IP entirely unrelated to the world of mgs. They could have named it Bayonetta 2 and no one would be the wiser. Which os a shame because they could have done more to get the story right. Instead it felt like a hyper Adhd hack and slash fest. Fun yes, but didnt feel like a kojima game (mgs, zoe, boktai, etc). Felt like in the end kojima had 0% involvement, even if he lies and says he actually was involved, just to help konami sell copies of the game.

I absolutely loved LoS, I hope Kojima is involved as much, if not more than he was in the first.

Konami and Kojima announce the hard push into the next gen, with more PC titles.

So a man can wish.

Happy to hear that Metal Gear Rising and the latest Castlevanias are all coming PC though.

Here is hoping that all Metal Gears get ported to PC, I don't care how crappy of ports. I'll play those games for the rest of my life.

In fact, I am going to reinstall MGS2 Substance for PC right now.
