The Worst Game I've Ever Played: Assassin's Creed III

It's painful to watch your favorite franchise dig itself into a hole. Or in Assassin's Creed's case, take a leap of faith and miss the pile of hay. The fifth major installment of the series served as a self-destruct button that left both fans and history buffs underwhelmed. Assassin's Creed III broke my heart because I saw an incredible story conclude with a half-assed ending that didn't make any sense and left enough plot holes to make an even more gimmicky upcoming sequel, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

Apparently someone has never played Aliens: CM or Duke Nukem: Forever.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing

Virus2013986d ago (Edited 3986d ago )

Mass Effect was a good game. Up until the last 15 minutes.

linkenski3986d ago

Virus201: Mass Effect 3 was such a let down throughout most of it compared to Mass Effect 2. I don't care for set piece moments. They are distracting the viewers from any real depth or substance. The introduction to the game is terrible, the autodialogue ruined my experience and everything that had to do with Cerberus was very poorly written.
Most dissapointing sequel i ever played.

Tr10wn3986d ago

I don't see how that makes ME3 a bad game but to each its own ME3 was good not excellent but it wasn't bad at all.

"Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing"

I would've gone with Aliens: CM

MikeyDucati13986d ago

Aliens: CM wasn't that bad of a game. I repeat, Aliens: CM wasn't that bad. I enjoyed it. Not saying that to be the odd man out either. It was better than Aliens Vs. Predator, I tell you that.

I played ET and the 2600 version of Pac Man. No matter how bad AC3 is, I'm sure it's probably better than either of those games.

Upstate89873986d ago

i was actually discussing this topic with someone else, and they hands down said ET was the worst.

JsonHenry3986d ago

I remember ET as a kid. It was BAD.

T23986d ago

Pit fighter on nes was terrible ... Spy hunter I swear was one of those repeating games with no end...

nutcrackr3986d ago

AC3 was quite ordinary yes, but must not have played many games if it's the worst.

Evil_Ryu3986d ago (Edited 3986d ago )

Wow cant believe somebody has the same hatred for this game as me...i will never buy another assassin creed game after 3 as it was my worst game of all time

Goro3986d ago

Robot Warlords on PS2 no doubt

arjman3986d ago

I thought I was the only one...

Goro3986d ago

Unfortunately not lol

Ogygian3986d ago

I had such high expectations when I bought that as a kid....ruined when I placed it in the disc tray and turned the machine on...and the wretched thing didn't even grow a beanstalk when I buried it outside.

Games with the dumbest NPCs

Non-playable characters in certain games are meme material, thanks to their foolish behavior. These are the big-budget games with the dumbest NPCs.

Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩

How did redfall not make the cut.

Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.

My first thought was the safe rooms in the resident evil series. When you hear that enchanting music you know you’re safe.

Killer2020UK269d ago

I literally just came here to post this. That music in the Resi 1 safe rooms is playing in my head.

Rimeskeem269d ago

I was thinking TLOU work benches. Although I remember one time where it was a false security.

Perfect. 👌👌

I'd add the top of my highrise apartment in GTA Online. That calm, quiet peace, just knowing as soon as I step out that door I will be bombarded by 8 and 12 year olds calling each other n**** and f****, trolled by combat jets and rocket launchers.

The entire map of SotC is peaceful as hell. Used to just ride around exploring it.

mastershredder269d ago (Edited 269d ago )

Afterlife in Cyberpunk 2077 is a peaceful area? Erm, hands down and very hard to miss, Misty Olszewski's Esoterica is the absolute epitome of peaceful areas in that game.

raiden_188269d ago

The "last of us" deer location i found to be a welcoming respite. It was nice to not have someone trying to eat me.

RPGer269d ago

Kingdom Hearts tend to present half peaceful areas and most of them are amazing.

'Assassin’s Creed III': Ten Years Later

With the recent reveal of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the promise that the series will return to its roots, there hasn’t been a better time to get stuck into Assassin’s Creed’s back catalog, whether it’s replaying an old favorite or getting lost in previously looked-over classic.

Ten years later, we miss the old you, Assassin's Creed.

Popsicle543d ago (Edited 543d ago )

I really enjoyed Assassins Creed 3. My only complaint was that I didn’t enjoy when I had to switch from Connor to Desmond. It’s a personal preference, but Connor’s story was just more fun for me.

On a side note, Black flag was the most enjoyable of the AC games I played.
