Hideo Kojima has provided an explanation in regards to the new graphics style for his upcoming multiplatform video game, “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain,” which is being developed for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. According to a report by the unofficial “Metal Gear Solid” website on May 23, the game director mentioned that they are aiming for photorealism with the Fox Engine. However, he also disclosed that “artistic design” is also vital. You can check out the graphics for the open-world action-adventure video game in the slideshow at the top of this article.
Whether it's showcasing damage realistically or simulating fractures and conditions, these games are worth checking out.
The Metal Gear series has sold 60.2 million copies, as of September 2023.
...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is another rollercoaster of a game in the Metal Gear Solid series. Here's what to expect and why you need to experience it.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
Photorealism sounds nice, the gameplay trailer definately comes close to it. Now we only need it on next gen, even if it's coming later I'd probably still buy it twice.
Kinda looks like a Metal gear 4.6 to me. It looks great, because Metal Gear 4 still looks amazing, but it's not the big leap that other franchises have gone through, taking it from these pictures at least.
I was also wondering if that interview with phantom pain director was on the engine..
So weird that this game is coming to current gen consoles, but I guess it makes sense with the larger install base. Just finished playing the HD Collection on my Xbox 360 so I'll be ready!
Looks like he's been watching too many J.J. Abrams films. Still, day one.
