GTA 5 Map Partly Revealed And Detailed

GTA 5 Map detailed. Recently, Rockstar Games announced the “Special Edition” and “Collector’s Edition” for their most anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto 5. At first, the map may look a bit small, but keep in mind that this isn’t even the full map of the city of Los Santos. We are not sure about the scale of the map and the blueprint shown in the pics looks zoomed out.

Me too. Gonna be a great one I believe.

BlmThug3980d ago

I cannot wait, same with all my friends. First time ever i'm excited for multiplayer too because I don't play CoD, the other game where literally all of them play online

FlameHawk3980d ago

I thought they said the map of GTA5 was to be as GTA IV, SA, Read Dead combined. Honestly it doesn't look that big.

SexyGamerDude3980d ago

Well, it does say "partly" revealed.

BLow3980d ago

The fact you had to point that out is pretty sad. I know most people on here don't even bother reading articles but it's right there in the freakin title...haha

ginsunuva3980d ago (Edited 3980d ago )

That would be too big obviously. They used semantics. Maybe they weren't clear on what "big" or "combined" meant.

Or they included the ocean as part of the map, so they can claim it's bigger.

FragMnTagM3980d ago

No, Rockstar said it is 3 (or was it 5?) times bigger than Red Dead Redemption, sans the ocean.

With the ocean included it is nearing Just Cause 2 size, can't wait!

koh3980d ago

I think it was 3 times bigger counting only land, 5 times counting explorable underwater areas.

Nafon3979d ago

Frag:
It is NOT nearing Just Cause 2 size. Just Cause 2 was Four HUNDRED square MILES. that means 20 miles by 20 miles. it was huge, but filled with large areas of repeating textures, and empty spaces.

San andreas was the biggest rockstar game to date. GTA IV didn't feel as small as it is, and that's because it was so densely packed. So, GTA V seems to have a bigger urban area than GTA IV, and the the countryside is huge, so the map will be plenty big, just not near the size of JC2.

alivegamezone3980d ago

Sir, what you are seeing is not even the entirety of Los Santos, the city alone.

Vinewood hills, some of the southern part of Los Santos and a few more places are missing.

THEN you have the mountains, deserts, canyons, forests, rural cities, etc, etc. :)

September 17th,goodbye outside world...

dalibor3980d ago

It's going to be a fun game to play that's for sure. Would be cool if the single player had co op. Would be fun doing missions with other people.

vigilante_man3979d ago

Not that bothered by GTA any more after 4. It was such a bore. I got sucked in by the hype.

This time I'll wait for a few months after to see what the game is really all about.

marcolinhoo3979d ago

i feel you...
anyway i hope they don't "screw up" on this.
I need a good GTA (like the old san andreas).

And i'll wait, too.
The 4 taught us the reviews aren't just reliable for some games.

Cost of realistic looking movement.

Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…

Profchaos33d ago (Edited 33d ago )

Oh and hundreds of millions of dollars in revanue to boot.

Lots of complaints about gta ever since the hd era started and yet it's bugger than its ever been with gta vi up to 180 million trailer views alone. The next game is shaping it be be another genre defining game

MetalGearsofWar33d ago

They already learned they dont have to actually make a great game

sagapo33d ago

The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.

Zhipp33d ago (Edited 33d ago )

I did accidentally beat someone to death a couple times. An unfortunate mistake but besides that I didn't have any problems with the controlls

jznrpg33d ago

Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games

Profchaos33d ago

I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
