Two weeks ago I have suggested that this Emergent Reality Game should come out on the Vita. Yesterday it became reality. Now all we have to do is put our credit card to some use.

Clandestine: Anomaly packs some neat ideas that never really come together to produce something worthwhile. Its implementation of AR and GPS gameplay sounds exciting, and can even produce a few moments of goodhearted fun, but it all falls apart in the end thanks to its complicated interface and practical deficiencies.
Sounds like an interesting title that could have been greatly improved with the addition of a good tutorial, and perhaps more options in the settings menu.
Clandestine Anomaly is the type of game that on paper sounds incredibly innovative and this is a big part of why it caught my attention. The game takes the player’s real GPS location and builds a world around it. While this is largely a superficial gimmick, it’s still undeniably cool to be defending the streets of Toronto from aliens.
