One thing is for sure, it will have lots of air vent holes in it. That much power is dependent on superb ventilation.

I'm sure the design team of PS4 are still keeping the stylish design of playstation consoles. As long as they don't shove it all in a box and call it a day, i'm fine.

Since they both are based on a short teaser and still look very different, I'm guessing both are far from accurate. I'll rather wait for the final design, I'm sure Sony's designers can do better than that.

I think people are wrong about the double "grill"; if you watch the video and pause on the image depicting the "grill"; it sure looks like it's a reflection off a surface under it.

The spacing on the horizontal pieces are also roughly the size of USB input holes. It could even not be a "grill" at all.

Just a thought.

LOL. That sh*t looks like a scanner. I am sure the color scheme will mimic the Xbox One since those are pretty much the primary colors of electronics. Gloss black, matte black, and polished nickle seems like the basics.

This one would be MUCH more accurate that that crappy curved one, but I still think it's gonna look a little better than that. Much better mockup though, it is much more in line with what I was thinking, kudos to the guy who did it.

Note, this is UGLY! But the FRONT of the console is very well done (even though I think it will be segmented twice instead of three times) in my opinion and I also think the back will be sloped too with vents too, and the vent won't be at the top, however much better SHAPE than the first mock-up.

I don't really like the way either box looks. But the Xbox one looked like a VCR from the 80's and PS4 looks similar, but a little sleeker.

However, I just don't care about all the TV functions in my gaming machine. And it was obvious that Microsoft didn't have any games far enough along to show. This release will be really crappy, if the xbox one is just a multimedia hub with no games.

I'll buy a PS4 on day one, and then I'll likely get an One box once it gets a couple price cuts further down the line.

Only thing I could say is *some aspects of the design ( could ) be true, but overall I believe Sony simply wouldn't come out with that sort of look. It doesn't gel with a whole lot of their other audio/video equipments.

Especially with that circular exhaust port ( again ) that is just lazy design integration.

And all those square/rectangular shaped holes at the front - what are they used for? Common sense tells me Sony simply wouldn't put the Blu Ray disc opening/sliding port at the middle and only a small number of those holes would be for the USB ports but I believe it won't be that many.

the square holes in the right side, are the holes of the PSeye 2 that was also shown in the video. It is not part of the console.

That concept looks pretty horrendous. I don't expect it to be all kinds of sexy lines or to redefine the way a videogame console looks but i really hope that Son designers come up with something a little sexier than that...also, having a vent on the top means we likely couldn't put anything on top of it (ie:PS3) and if it's on the side like another concept rendering I saw then you better hope there's a solid 2+inches between the vent and wherever you store the unit.
