Yesterday, as we're sure most — possibly all — of you are aware, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One, the company's offering for the "next generation" of gaming. And so we finally have a situation where, piece by piece, the rumours, leaked design documents and outright fibs are making way for hard facts. Nintendo has already launched into its new generation with the Wii U, so the three manufacturers that have defined home console gaming in recent times — since the departure of SEGA with the Dreamcast — have all pitched in.

As part of its plans to cut 1,900 jobs, Microsoft has reportedly shut down operations at Bethesda France, letting go roughly 15 people
Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much

Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.
This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
If anything, yesterday's conference is pushing true gamers away from Xbox and towards the other two consoles. It is no coincidence that Sony's stock increased by 9% during the announcement. And I also now understand - based on yesterday's conference - why EA isn't making games for Wii-U: Nintendo probably wouldn't agree to a used-game DRM scheme like Microsoft did.
Anyone who buys an Xbox One is funding the death of gaming.
I'm pretty sure Iwata is smiling right now and probably still laughing
