Graphics looks like something Xbox360 & PS3 could already pull off.

I'll admit this gen looks really good at times, but the poly count and textures have definitely improved. As we improve from generation to generation, the differences will be more subtle, but the tech itself will improve greatly on those subtle details.

jdktech20103990d ago

that's a lot of detail for the current consoles to pull off....anyway, the real jump will come in year 2 and 3 of the console cycle...a lot of things will be very similar.

I can see BF4, Killzone Shadowfall, Forza, Driveclub and games like those being the biggest jumps here (who knows what else MS has cooked up)

I would 've liked an underground game instead. If this is a reboot of hot pursuit 2 they better not mess it up because hot pursuit 2 is one of my favorites.

I hope this is true and also, I hope they stay to 1080p, 60fps and it is not a pain in the ass to work on the systems, especially the PS4.

Anyways, I am a huge fan of the underground series, hope this is all true and I pray for everyones sake that it maintains 1080p at 60fps for all systems

Adexus3442d ago

I just hope it actually has customization in it!

SoapShoes3442d ago

NFS Underground was when the series died for me. We went from the amazing Hot Pursuit 2 and supercars to a game with lame Economy cars.

jeremyj29133441d ago

Funny thing is, for me and many others, Underground was when NFS became a fun series. Pro Street was the last one I bought and haven't been able to get back into the series ever since. The recent Most Wanted was the biggest slap in the face to a lot of fans.

sugawalls3442d ago

If this true. EA. You legends.

DirtyMagician3442d ago

"The customization can be broken down to Body kits, wide bumper, spoilers, Rims, spinners and we also planned to include special parts for Drag races and drift races, you can basically customize your car for the kind of race you want to do with it, Vinyls and paints also is much more expanded than first, the appearance of your car will matter, if you put it online people can give your car style points, the more style points the more your car is worth"

It's better, but still nowhere near the level of customisation from the PS2 era. Disappointed but not surprising.

Shadow Flare3442d ago

It's pathetic that racing games can't make progress over ps2 racing games, in anything but graphics that is. Before online gaming, developers focused entirely on the single player experience. Which made the games incredible. These days they sacrifice the single player, and it shows in lots of games.

If NFSU3 is true, I hope they improve on NFSU2's feature list. But I'm not holding my breath.

DirtyMagician3442d ago

I'm hoping they realise pretty much every fan of those games still want them to bring back the customisation of old.

Racing a car that you have put together and made your own gets you immersed so much more. That is something that is missing from the recent games. You get to choose a car, change its colour and that's it. I don't quite understand why it was taken out.

Shadow Flare3442d ago (Edited 3442d ago )

Yes exactly! What I want in a racing game is to own a car, even if it's a crappy Peugeot 206, buy it with money I've raced hard to earn in the game, spend money I've earned to tune it mechanically and aesthetically, paint it totally customised. Because that becomes MY car.

I want MY Peugeot 206 that I've worked on. And that means something to me, and I've worked hard to modify it to the point it has. I DO NOT want to drive around a map and own 5 supercars in 5 minutes just by finding them. They mean nothing to me.

I want to enjoy the fact that I've bought a brand new air filter for the car with my money and take it for a spin to check out how good the engine now sounds and the performance boost it gives the car

NFSU was all about the whole spectrum of cars, the fast and the slow, and customising it to become yours.

Criterion don't get that AT ALL. I hope EA pull this off

Benoski3442d ago (Edited 3442d ago )

I'm saying it's fake. He said that they would announce it at VGX.

There is no VGX this year, and EA normally announces a new NFS 5-6 months before release.

Sorry, but as much as it could be true, I'm not expecting an announcement this month.

BigBosss3442d ago

Yes there is, VGX starts Dec 5th. Even Geoff Keighley announced it via twitter.

danny8183442d ago

its a rumor that he is leaking.
Its obvious that EA wouldn't announce it ill next e3

WeAreLegion3442d ago

It's not called VGX, but The Video Game Awards are still happening.

I think it will be much better this year. Keighley is actively looking to improve it. He's asking everyone who hated it in the past to help him fix it this year.
