Pachter knows nothing, his predicitions are basicly restating the same old, old, rumors...lol how about something micro might surprise us with that nobody is talking about and worst he actually thinks it matters to gamers whether or not microsoft or sony has females in their presentations.

Not sure why they keep paying this guy, but wouldn't mind a woman on stage at the reveal. I think the Kinect 2.0 thing is correct, but I thought we were past all the always online DRM rumors by now.

Maybe Sony didn't have any women on stage because they put together a reveal conference about a new console and it's games and the thought "Oh, shoot! Guys! We don't have any WOMEN! Somebody get on this now! We got to have Women! Oh! Women.... MMM" never crosses their minds.

there was one more i forgot...but none sound great.

The only reason I could see Microsoft doing these is to steal back the casual crowd from the ios / mobile games and re-introduce them to actual gaming.

If they succeed it will be worth it to them, but from every rumor we've heard, it sounds like actual gamers are taking a back seat in this whole thing, and it's a shame because there entire fan base for the Xbox is based on gamers and gaming.

They may bring in 3+ million casuals, but they may lose 10+ million hardcore gamers over the next 1-3 years.

I love the 360 and it's controller.....but if they don't show me anything I'm interested in I have no problem buying a Wii U and playing 3D mario, LoZ, Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers, Pikmin ect....

or maybe I've finally buy my first Playstation. If the Ps4 controller is actually responsive and fixed compared to the DS2 then I may get a PS4, the lineup for games looks impressive.

A bit too dark for my taste, but if they games are good I'll get over it.

The problem with the Wii U is that it won't get 3rd party support like all Nintendo consoles.

Since you own an Xbox my only question is this.

If you had to choose between 3rd party and Sony exclusives or Nintendo games which one would you go with?

In my case if the PS4 flops for me then I would rather have a 720 than a Wii U because that way I won't miss out on the majority of next gen games.

Are you willing to sacrifice playing 90% of next gen games just to play a few Nintendo games?

quality over quantity. so yes Nintendo would be the better way to go. I mean how many 3rd party shooters do you really need?

@yugovega I'm not trying to bash Nintendo here, but to me the idea of choosing a Nintendo console over a PS4 or Xbox 720 based on games is crazy. I get it, Nintendo makes some really good games. But it's SUCH a limiting experience.

The PS2 controller was also missing PS1 style non analogue buttons, heavy weight, terrible broken d-pad and a gorgeous bulky battery pack sticking out of the back of it. Apart from all that, yeah the 360 controller is perfect and would completely stop me from buying a console with tonnes of development studios to back it up.
Maybe if Microsoft do ANYTHING to appeal to me, I will actually buy a product from them.
