Square Enix Teasing News Next Week‚ lately there has been a lot of anticipation regarding news for Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Rumors picked up that Versus is being named to Final Fantasy XV and that it will be revealed at E3 with a possible release date‚ along with a new trailer. For the full article read here. Another rumor is that Square Enix might reveal details about Kingdom Hearts 3 and possibility for a mini trailer is never out of question. Square Enix has been teasing something big all week and a recent tweet showed that they will unveil something next week.

Sorry, but after their teasers about mobile games lately, I'm not excited in the least for any news SE has. I suppose that's a good thing though. If they did show Versus, at least it'll catch me by surprise lol!

The chances of Versus XIII being announced is basically slim to none. Also, I'll bet the chances of Versus XIII coming to this year's E3 is probably going to be less than 50% chance. But hey, at least we can be excited for XIII-3 right? :)

It can only be 1 of 3 things.

1. They will be at MS's Conference to announce the NEXTGEN Multiplatform release of FFV13

2. They partnered with Sony to announce FF15 formerly known as Verus 13 to steal thunder away from MS's conference on the 21st....

3. A new Next Gen RPG/FF game is announced for MS at the Xbox Reveal.

My Money is on number 1 or 3.

It'll be interesting to see to say the least.

They already said PS4 fans should be excited for E3 so i'm sure what ever is announced next week will be next gen related.

Their announcements are always underwhelming, so I'm not getting my hopes up. A new Tomb Raider or Hitman announcement would really excite me. They should release dates for the X|X-2 remaster and Kingdom Hearts HD releases. . . that would make more than a few fans happy. I would love some new Versus info but I know its not going to happen. I'm giving them until TGS to show Verus before I give up on it. Even a Type0 US announce will please a lot of fans. But we all know SE is a troll company and probably wont do any of the things listed above. I'm really expecting them to role into the NextBox reveal, show that same Agni Philosophy tech demo. . . and then leave after saying "see you at E3 guys ^_^v".

I don't think the majority of Square / RPG fans are really happy with how SE made their games lately, aside from their western dev of course.

And two games from SE japan that i think shine the most are FF Type-0 and Bravely Default. FF Type-0 only for japan and Bravely Default ironicly isn't purely made by SE. More irony is those two games are for handheld.

So, if SE announce Versus or a new FF for the new Xbox, i don't think it will automaticly be a brag worthy material for Xbox fans. Even i still pessimistic if Versus can give me more fun than the abysmal XIII.

No im thinking the opposite, if SE release Versus on the next xbox as well, PS fans would be fuming. I would hazard a guess that quite a number of people (me included) bought a PS3 because of dreams of KH3 and FFVS13. Instead we all got a subpar game in FF13.

At the end of the day, I highly doubt they would announce a previously stated PS3 exclusive, unless MS are serious about spending the money.

I still feel its gonna be a FF14 or a Lightning Returns announcement with which they would want to 'hype' before anything Versus related.

I understand your felling. But why should PS fans must mad if Versus gone multiplat? They even don't know for sure if Versus have the quality above FF XIII. And if Versus still PS3 exclusive but the quality isn't that different from XIII, than are PS fans still braging how good Versus is? I think that's really dumb, considering SE quality this day are far from the golden age of Squaresoft.

If it ends up making the jump to next gen no Sony fan can complain IMO. The main issue people had was no blu-ray or the 360 bottlenecked the ps3. But I have my money on the ps4 and new Xbox probably having the same specs for the most part. So really the issue becomes null.

Haven't released anything good since the PS2 era is a overblow statement. SE DID released some good title since the PS2 era such as Crisis Core, The World Ends With You, FF Type-0, and Bravely Default (well, it's not made purely by SE). Too bad a lot of people choose not to play those games because it released for handhelds.

Crisis core was, in my opinion, better than ff7 and people refuse to play it because it's on handheld and think that it will ruin their nostalgia (which it will because you won't care at all about cloud after you play it) so they completely disregard it. Hopefully the new CEO knows what he's doing, Yoichi Wada didn't know a thing about what people wanted. You have him to blame for everything that has been released since 2003 (minus kingdom hearts 2 and ffxii of course those were decent enough) but he was a perv, he was the reason x-2, ffxiii, fxiii-2, and ffxiii lightning returns even exist. He's also the reason ffxiv wasn't done in the first place. He made the worst decisions any game company CEO could have made and did it multiple times.

This could get interesting. There may be 2 possible scenerios:

1. Sony and Square are planning to reveal a big title and exclusive deal/partnership for a new, meaning old... FF Versus, Final Fantasy in an attempt to steal some of the Xbox reveal thunderrr!

2. Square and MS have come together for an unpresidented partnership bringing Final Fantasy... 7 remake exclusively to the next Xbox!!! thus executing one of the most amazing coop's in history!

I think for a lot of people FF7 was their first "major" RPG. I guess it's the same for those who can't get enough Mario/Zelda. They're all chasing that moment or feeling from that first play through.
