Why Sony Will Win E3 2013

Sony is in a very interesting position for this year’s E3. They have already announced its next generation console back in February and we have already seen what to expect from the system. Sony has embraced raw horsepower coupled with social gaming and is set to unleash its next generation console later this year. With a number of 3rd parties already singing the praises of the PS4 and nearly every company already showing interest in the system, Sony is poised to have a very strong showing at E3 2013.

This year’s E3 is less than a month away and here is why Sony will win E3 2013.

Comment clichés you aren't allowed to use in articles like this any more:

"Nobody wins E3"

"The gamer wins"

"Company 'A' has already won"

OK continue.

On topic: I... err... umm... bu... nevermind.

LOGICWINS3989d ago

Damn, I was gunna use the first one lol. But nonetheless, its true. E3 is an exposition...not a competition.

Conzul3989d ago (Edited 3989d ago )

EVERYTHING is a competition to someone.

OT: Yes, grass is indeed green.

Reborn3989d ago

Not to some. You'll see by what will follow in the comments.

posturing. But yes, there are winner and losers. For people who only have one system. If they have the wrong system, they may be in for a dry spell in terms of exclusives.

Freak of Nature3989d ago (Edited 3989d ago )

I agree, it is a exposition, but the competition cannot be denied.... They do compete...

Personally I want them both to win, do as well as possible, [personal tastes will determine who wins. But if you are like me and are pulling for both you want no losers. Getting the most from both consoles is a double win.

New IP's and exclusives for both consoles are what excites me the most for E3... I hope both sides bring us the best possible show...

^^If you want to play Sony exclusives, buy a Playstation console. If you want to play Microsoft exclusives, buy an Xbox. Sony and Microsoft are competing for different markets.

Both consoles will have content that appeals to different people. Its simply a matter of what appeals to you personally.

The people who view it as a competition are the ones who want both, but can't afford both...so they need to make a choice.

For people who want both, but CAN afford both...there is no competition.

E3 itself is NOT a competition. No one gets a trophy at the end. It's only a competition if you view it as a competition.

"E3 itself is NOT a competition. No one gets a trophy at the end."

This is about all you said that I agree with, though I won't bother pressing agree or disagree.

insomnium23989d ago

He wins who brings the games. I want to be neck deep in a pool of core games!

Nothing else will do. Everything else is irrelevant!

(I didn't use a cliche) lol

DemonSlayer4203989d ago

Killzone 2 had MP that was so ahead of it's time. I miss those 16 vs 16 battles...

Software_Lover3989d ago (Edited 3989d ago )

OMFG how many times do I (we) have to say this

There is no E3 winner. Even if a legitimate website comes up with a story about who won E3, it is all subjective. It is not a competition. There are no awards handed out. No one votes, unless a website wants hits from fanboys.

If anyone, ANYONE, wins after every single E3 its the gamers who game on their respective consoles.

My only Gripe is that I think Nvidia and AMD should have a show at Nvidia. Show us some great pc gaming. But they would probably have to sign deals with Motherboard and case vendors. Too much of a hassle.

.......... F U Chaostar, lol. I think I used 3 items on your list.

Bumpmapping3988d ago

LOL nice spin must be because m$ and Nintendo have had nothing note worthy too show at E3 last 4-5 years gotta keep telling your self that.

Majin-vegeta3989d ago

Of course E3 is a competition these companies are showing off stuff that they want you too buy.How the hell is that not competition??

wishingW3L3989d ago (Edited 3989d ago )

and here we go with the "wining E3" nonsense again....

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil20h ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai14h ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing691h ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle14m ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion
