Q-Games’ president Dylan Cuthbert hopes that the PS4 and next Xbox will focus more on core games. He also thinks that the “innovation” for next-gen consoles is the graphics technology as “you’ll see things you never seen before.”
Throughout the history of video games, there have been titles that permanently shifted the industry. These games are generally not hard to spot, as their influence quickly earned them a place in our pop culture. Tetris, Super Mario 64, Halo, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, each of these games caused massive shifts in their respective genres and gaming as a whole. But for each of these, there are also games whose influence, though significant, is largely forgotten.

In the announcement tweet, the Japan-based company described it as "a historical move by Sony Interactive Entertainment" and it's hard to argue with that. The game was originally published as a second-party title, funded by PlayStation, and it's typical for the platform holder to retain the IP rights in such a partnership."
Developer of the original Star Fox would love a Switch game.
Would Nintendo even make a sequel to a franchise who's last mainline installment didn't even sell a million
Better question is if it's going to be the quality of the previous do we even want any? I'm more worried about the quality of The Next Star Fox game as opposed to whether or not we get one or not because I'm kind of tired of getting crappie games.
It better, Zero was such a pile of dungheap that the only enjoyment I got was from the semi-tower defense game they also created. That's crazy.
I never knew the core gaming went away. It's always good for fresh ideas and new games, but I am going to watch closely at what they come up with.
Q-Games??
What have they ever done that made a difference??
'you’ll see things you never seen before'
I've been seeing games in 1080p and high detail for years now..
I'm so glad the link goes to the full interview and not the crappy selective version at beefjack.
