WipEout 'Deceit' leaked, possibly a PS4 title?

The last WipEout that came out was for the PS Vita, namely WipEout 2048.
Which was more or less a remake of WipeOut HD for the PS3.

Now there is some new material leaked indicating a possible WipEout game for the PS4 , called WipEout Deceit.

there's so much material leaked that it must be real!

sony has always threaded every system launch with a new whipout so this is definitively very probable.

i'm deffo getting a new whipout if released on PS4.

I wouldn't get excited about the game being released, even though there's been leaked images. Sony shut down Studio Liverpool and most people working there lost their jobs, with only a few being absorbed by Evolution Studios.

At the time it was said that a Wipeout game for the launch of the PS4 had been in development for about 18 months, before Sony pulled the plug since they didn't like the direction that the game was going.

I would be overjoyed if Sony kept the project going somehow since a Wipeout game holds a lot more appeal to me than Drive Club or Infamous, but I'm not going to get my hopes up since Sony just doesn't place as much value in the franchises that I love on the PlayStation brand as I do (Wipeout and Twisted Metal being prime examples).

I think Wipeout while a quality title (the reason I bought a PSOne on sight) is a bit played out. Its been relegated to a download title that many will just over look.

I'd rather see a PS4 Rollcage reboot. There no other games like it and a franchise that never got off the ground. Make it happen Sony, and bring back Colony Wars and G Police while youre at it and youve got 3 guaranteed sales from me.

Like I said, I was walking through K-Mart when I saw the future. Instantly went and spent my holiday pay on a $AU700 console with Wipeout, Destruction Derby and Battle Arena Toshinden. So many good memories that weekend. (Remember the T-Rex/Manta-ray tech demo)?

Later, I actually won a PSone in a nightclub by showing everyone why I was the best Wipeout 2097 player in the room.

So yes, Wipeout has been good to me, but I'd love to see the other awesome Psygnosis games get rebooted before I saw another one.

Looking at Wiki all they ever did on PS2->PS3 were racing games.

WipeOut and F1. (Til the F1 license expired)

In 1999 the team divided into SCE London and SCE Liverpool.

So i'm thinking London took the guys that made those games and Liverpool got the racing crew.

Which now makes sense as to why they'd merge with Evolution as they only had 1 ip left and Evo are also into car games.

This has to be next gen,look how sharp yet smooth the graphics look ! even the floor is just too detailed for a PS3 or Vita game,this is probably a PS4 game and I hope it's being made !

Hate to be "that" guy but the clue is in the name.

Doesnt anyone think it odd that all the shots concentrate on one corner of a track and a single ship?

This guy is doing the barest minimum to fake a set wipeout screenshots, and people want to believe so badly they've forgotten to think about what theyre seeing.

Saying that, id love a new wipeout as much as the next guy, but if these were real leaked shots of a game late in development you'd expect things to actually be happening in them, more ships, and not just one tiny corner of a very generic looking track.
