3 Reasons Why I Prefer PS3 over Xbox.

With the current gen currently preparing itself to bow out and welcome there more powerful brothers, I can't help but feel an air of sadness, with the current gen offering top quality gaming/services, making friends (and enemies also) from all corners of the globe has never been easier, new content for beloved games is easily accessible and quick to access.

And as the curtain closes, I can't help but feel like I prefer one console to the other, don't get me wrong, I'm not a fanboy in anyway, These are just personal reasons as to why I prefer the PS3 over the Xbox.

#1: Well, it was a warm summers day, a good few years back, a rather young me receives a phone call, telling me, that at home, I have a shiny new Xbox 360 waiting for me. Needless to say, I was excited. VERY EXCITED. But what happened next, let me down more than my Jewish parents on Christmas Day. After completing the set up, installing all the bits and bobs and what not, I sat down to experience online gaming for the first time. Excited is a rather large understatement for how I felt... So I get my copy of Halo 3, popped it into the disc tray, and loaded it up. I then went onto the multiplayer menu and thus, I was subjected to a message then informed me, that I required 'Xbox Live Gold.'
So for that, the 13 year old in me died a little inside, being so young, I barely had 40p, let alone £40. So for that, PS3 takes this point for me. FREE ONLINE FOR EVERYONE!

#2: After a rather average day in school, I thought I'd treat myself, by smacking some people about with the gravity hammer.. So, I sit down, pop the xbox on.. and.. what's this? Why is the light that's meant to be green, actually red? And yup.. that was my first (and only) experience, of a broken console.
So after I discovered it was broken, I popped it up on Ebay, sold it and saved up for a FAT 80GB PS3. Needless to say, After about 6 years, it's still running as strong as it ever was and I'm yet to have a single issue with it.

#3: Finally, my personal favorite, the exclusives. With the Playstation franchise holding so many iconic characters and childhood memories, I can't help but feel a little bias. I never really got into Gears of War, and despite my love for Halo, I prefer the good ol' hack and slashing styles of one of my most loved Franchises, God Of War. Crash Bandicoot, Rayman, Future Cop L.A.P.D. Everything about Sony's Exclusives scream quality, and I'm sure the same could be said about the Xbox exclusives too, but personally, I prefer the Playstation.

And this (rather lengthy) list my friends is why, IN MY OPINION, the PS3 is better. With E3 just under 4 weeks away, the future of gaming is soon to be sprawled out in front of us, endless possibilities lie ahead for Developers with bigger, better and more expansive dev kits..

So, HERE'S TO THE FUTURE OF GAMING. PEACE!

80GB fat has not been out for 8 years so...............

Did you end up getting an xbox live gold subscription? I can't tell from the blog. You kind of left me hanging there.

apologies for getting the dates and stuff wrong :')
I didn't in the end. It was a sad day. Ended up piggy backing on my mates XBL account :')

So wait. Not only were you too young to legally play Halo 3, but judging from the given time frame your still what, at most, 17?

Halo 3 was released at the end of 2007, so the earliest you could have got it in the summer was 08 and you were 13 at the time?

Chalk another one up for detective Ujean.

This also means you could not possible have owned your PS3 for 8 years. So how much of this blog is actually true?

As previously said, I may have gotten the dates/times wrong, but I've pretty much had my PS3 since the launch.

Don't give me that legal age bullcrap, how many people who play Call Of Duty are actually legal age? Exactly.

I look forward to your reply... but it seems you only have one bubble... *EVIL LAUGHS*

I didn't realize there was a LEGAL age to play M-rated games...
