Which Game Have You Replayed The Most?

Taking a break from price drops and E3 hopes (don’t worry, there will be more), we decided to take a look back into the past. So, this week we asked the PSLS staff: “Which Game Have You Replayed The Most?” - PSLS

Last Gen, Metal Gear Solid. This Gen it's probably between Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 1,2,3... actually I know I've clocked more hours in Battlefield 3 than any other game... ever... period. :(

decrypt3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

Well i had about 200 hours on Dragon age origins (Pc version), since i played the game 3 times. Total war Shogun 2 about 250 hours.

However for a multiplayer game i have about 600 hours on Dota 2.

If MMOs can count on this i probably had like 4000hours on World of warcraft lol.

_-EDMIX-_3998d ago

in terms of MP BF2 I have over 1000 hours in it, on BFBC2 I have 600 hours on the PS3 version and a little over 120 on the PC version. BF3 I have about 250 or so (I know, I know, with school and all I've yet to get the time to really beast that game)

Most played game EVER would have to be MGS3 EASY! I've played MGS3 over 15 times. I own both MGS3 and MGS3S and I'm looking to get the HD version to play Peace Walker....and then MGS3 AGAIN! LOL!

Larry L3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

This gen, for times played through, it was Dragon Age Origins for me as well. I played through completely 4 times. I'll never get rid of it unless I ever get rid of my PS3, so I'm sure I'll play it again.

Edit- Actually, I also played through Heavy Rain 4 full times, and also on the last runs I did partial playthroughs multiple times from various points to see all the ending segments.

For actual hours put in this gen it's Gran Turismo 5. I've played it almost daily since it released.

Last gen I had over 2000 hours into the PS2 Monster Hunter online between my 3 characters.

I could never guess how many times I played through the 2 Champions of Norrath games grinding endlessly for loot. Hundreds of playthroughss each? idk

Some other all-time playthroughs for me would be
Super Mario Bros. 1 and 3
Punch-Out and SUper Punch-Out
Star Wars Arcade (The vector flight sim game)
The TMNT Arcade Games

And of course Final Fantasy 1. I've played through it SO many times from the launch on the NES in like 89 or 1990, I've played through most if not all the re-releases, and in fact I just started another playthrough on my Vita because I got sick of waiting for a Digital version of the 20th Anniversary PSP version in the US (though I did own the disc version before), so I'm playing the PS1 FF Origins version again. And you know what? If they ever DO release the PSP version digitally for Vita, I'll buy that and play FF1 yet again, lol.

Irishguy953998d ago

Star fox 64/lylat wars in EU.

Then...FF7

ABizzel13997d ago

This gen is a toss up between

Uncharted 2
Warhawk
Left 4 Dead 2

3-4-53997d ago

Not too many honestly.

Games that take a while to beat or are story driven tend to be hard for me to get back into so soon to the 1st play-through.

I like to wait a few years with those so I forget some stuff about it an the 2nd time is still exciting and fun because parts of it are "re-new" to me.

If you're wanting more PSVR 2 support, you should probably buy all of these games.

Speak with your wallet!

Profchaos31d ago

Bit rich to have to buy games you don't want because you want Sony to support the expensive headset they sold us which cost as much as the console it runs on beyond paying third partys to support it.
Seriously in terms of first party we have horizon on day 1 and a gt 7 vr mode.

They seemingly have made little effort to support it beyond paying Capcom to make re games in VR or a second party studio to make firewall which was mismanaged.

I'm a day 1 psvr2 user and the only thing I'm excited for right now is PC support.

I commented recently this bespoke VR game development model we have right now clearly doesn't work

crazyCoconuts31d ago

On the one hand I feel like there's been plenty of smaller non-AAA games to play and occupy me as a supplement to my flat screen gaming.
But I agree that Sony has done nothing to elevate this beyond the niche it's in and into the mainstream where it would be economical to create AAA games for it.

Babadook731d ago (Edited 31d ago )

Most of these games are worth owning for most people; I own all but 2 of them in fact. So I agree with kevco33. I think you're crazy if you downplay this list quite frankly. Sony can't keep funding software if people don't buy any of it, the ball is squarely in OUR court.

Sony has spent a lot on 3rd party stuff this gen like RE.

phoenixwing31d ago (Edited 31d ago )

Saving up for the headset is my first hurdle. Let alone buying games I don't want lol

mudakoshaka31d ago

People downvoting you for not having enough finances...what a world we live in, haha

phoenixwing31d ago (Edited 31d ago )

@mudako
They feel affronted at the very thought that I don't plunk down 500 immediately lol I have a little over 900 games in my backlog I've been buying games instead of hardware ever since I got my PC and ps5. I just don't know if vr is really for me honestly. Every time I have a couple hundred allocated to video games it makes more sense to buy a bunch of flat games instead of vr ones

mudakoshaka31d ago

I have 9 out of these 10 games. I try to buy all the VR games I like to support the advancement of VR!

TheEroica30d ago (Edited 30d ago )

I spoke with my wallet after watching the first headset get weak support. Easy pass until Sony earns my money. Feel bad for those who parted with 500 bucks, falling for the hype that Sony was actually gonna support this thing.

Neonridr31d ago

I own 7 of these titles off the list, lol.

NotoriousWhiz31d ago

I'm trying to decide if it's worth holding onto my psvr 2. I enjoy what it has currently, but it seems unlikely to get anything else. Might be better off just waiting for something with more support if that ever comes.

Profchaos31d ago

As a fellow psvr2 owner the question seemingly comes down to do you own a PC.

I think I'm all in I have a habit to hold onto my systems anyhow I still have my psvr1 to hell I still have my NES.

But while it's still worth something yeah you could sell it and if Sony turns the ship around you should be able to buy another one for less than you soldmit for I feel like we won't see any fix for the headset for the next 2 years rumours show that Sony has no current first party VR games in active development after they closed London studios

The whole psvr2 situation has left me feeling a little burnt on PlayStation as a whole to be honest. The first psvr felt experimental but it was supported far more than this superior headset

MIDGETonSTILTS1731d ago

GT7 surprised me, because I hate racing games, but i poured 100 hours into it way too quickly.

I’m looking forward to the Metro VR game this year, and I hope that WW2 dogfighter game releases eventually.

talocaca31d ago

I have most of them 😅

Waiting for a sale on Synapse and Arizona Sunshine 2.....also Metro coming this year looks great.

PlayStation 3 Games That Desperately Need a PS5 Remaster

The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.

Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!

Rude-ro41d ago

I played killzone 3 in 3d and it really changed the game per being immersive.
In vr, that would be even more awesome.

darthv7241d ago

Funny you mention that... my son wanted to play some PS3 games in 3d on my PS tv and he was blown away by how good KZ3 was. It really was a great addition to the game. Im surprised there have not been more 3d games from that era being ported to the PSVR/VR2.

_SilverHawk_41d ago

resistance 1-3, killzone 1-3, uncharted 1-3, uncharted golden abyss, folklore, socom 4 , motorstorm, twisted metal, MAG, heavenly sword

Cacabunga41d ago

Killzone 2+3
Sly Thieves in Time
Crack in Time
God of War Ascension
Motorstorm
Modnation racer
Infamous 1+2

Profchaos41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Killzone trilogy in VR would be amazing bonus points if they offer shadow fall.

There was a psvr1 Killzone project that supermassive was working on at one stage which wasn't up to scratch and Sony brand it back in house I was hoping we would see that on psvr2 eventually.

Personally I'd love to see some more love or acknowledgement of psvr2 from Sony in general it was a expensive headset and Sony barely acknowledge it's existence

seanpitt2341d ago

The amount of work needed to remaster these games wouldn't be beneficial on a financial and business sense.. MGS4 would probably be the best bet as it would need the least amount of work!

Iceball200041d ago

YEAAASSSSS! I miss this franchise and wanna play it so bad again.

Father__Merrin41d ago

The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer

InUrFoxHole41d ago

The resistance series is str8 trash to me. Socom 3 I would welcome. Or killzone MP.

Marcus Fenix41d ago

A Resistance reboot will be awesome

Michiel198941d ago

That's what Bungie should make, Ill keep saying it until it happens

1Victor41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱

41d ago
Michiel198941d ago

Resistance was the best co-op fps I ever played after L4D2
