FleshEatingZipper writes: I don't know if you guys have noticed, but media outlets are, again and again, reporting how various studios will be unable to bring their next-generation efforts to the Wii U. Somehow, people have some kind of expectation that graphics engines that are being optimized for hardware ten times as powerful (I'm just spitballing, but considerably faster) as the Wii U will fit on the Nintendo console. This isn't news, but the fact that it's being reported (and re-reported) is blistering my mind.
Vanillaware's tactical role-playing game Unicorn Overlord is a beautiful mix of old mechanics and new-age graphics, with over 65 unique recruitable characters and a rich storyline.
Activision and Raven Software's 2006 action role-playing game, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, has found its way to the Xbox Store.
Used to love this one, but X-Men Legends 1 and 2 will always be my favorites, especially Rise of Apocalypse. Would pay some good money to play it today with online multiplayer, back then I had no way to get a modem
I remember buying them dirt cheap on the PS4 and then a few days later I read they were delisted. I was wondering why the bundle was price so low and got my answer when that happened.
Sad to say this is one game franchise next to the Xmen that needs a sequel. I use to play the hell out of Xmen Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Was great when my cousin had the OG Xbox play with four other people and then playing online. Great games glad to see it reappear even though I own the discs love the mechanics of this game.
Misleading. This page is whats available for people who owned the game prior to delisting.
If you’re hyped for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, then you can play the first entry of the RPG series on PS4 and PS5 now for a very low price.
Wow, what a ridiculous article. Nobody ever said that they expect PS4 type visuals on the Wii U. But a game that releases on PS4 could also be released on the Wii U if the game engine that it is being developed for is scalable. In which case all the next gen engines are as they plan on releasing for as many consoles as possible and even mobile platforms.
Sure the Wii U version will look weaker in comparison, but naturally the hardware pushing the PS4/Nextbox is considerably more powerful than what is in the Wii U.
But that doesn't mean that games won't exist on all three platforms. What a dumb thing to suggest.
Well to be honest, neither do current gen games.. Why would nx gen games pop up on it all of a sudden? Even if theres a sales spike, by the time they get things moving, the games will be too graphically advanced
My solution:
Get a Wii U.
Get a PS4.
Get a Vita.
Add them to my 3DS and PC.
Throw petty fanboyism and brand loyalty out the freaking window.
Play and enjoy the games that I want.
Did the writer even hear that Activision and Starbreeze aren't showing off the Wii U versions of COD Ghosts and Wolfenstein because "we're not talking about the next-gen version, stay tuned" at all? While the Wii U won't be as powerful, it isn't as big a gap as Wii and it has a lot more functions and abilities than Wii did, with abilities developers need.
Not to mention Ubisoft saying they're focusing on the "Next gen" versions of Watch Dogs (PS4/Wii U) before 360/PS3
Meanwhile at Nintendo...
