The most hateful things said by game devs

GamesRadar - Much like love, hate can make us do some crazy things. In the heat of the hateful moment, we tend to lash out at people; maybe say some things we shouldn’t have said. Once the moment’s passed, we might regret our harsh choice of words, or our aggression directed at our adoring fans. Apologies may diminish the flames--but no matter how much you want to leave your outburst behind, the Internet never forgets.

its a official nothting but jackasses run this industry

EDIT though what kamiya said about kotaku is true

insomnium24004d ago (Edited 4004d ago )

Ummm... saying Nintendo is not competition on either handhelds OR consoles is not hateful actually. Just pointing out the obvious. It's not the same target audience and that's all there is to it.

This article is reaching at best.

And x360 missing longevity? Yeah ever since 2009 it's been a whole different console than what it started out with so they either lack longevity or are not a direct competition at all no longer. Make your pick. Nothing hatefull in stating the obvious.

ShinMaster4003d ago (Edited 4003d ago )

Kaz Hirai was correct both times.
(he was talking about Nintendo home consoles not handhelds and Xbox 360 only lasted 4 years before M$ started focusing on Kinect, ESPN, TMZ, pizza apps and Usher.)

However, I must disagree with Jack Tretton :/

2pacalypsenow4004d ago

"The Xbox--again, I can't come up with one word to fit. You need a word that describes something that lacks longevity."

well the xbox did onlu last 4 years

I have to say out of all of the comments, Phil Fish seem like the one with head shove so far up his ass the most.

Kamiya wasn't the only who didn't care about Capcom's game, a lot of fans didn't either. Capcom only shipped 1.15(as of April 2013). Which was less than DMC4. No telling how many of those copies actually sold. Hopefully DMC:DMC 2 will do a lot better if it is to be made.

I love the thing Jack Trenton said about the 'game boy experience' funny how totally wrong he ended up being. xD

WeAreLegion4004d ago

I don't know. I still see it as pretty true. I'll get hate for this, but I can't imagine choosing a 3DS over a Vita. Casual gamers would probably go with the 3DS, as we've seen with sales.

Pixel_Enemy4004d ago

I have both and enjoy both. I was just on a flight where I played a little of each. I do prefer my Vita for it's game selection and how advanced it is compared to the 3DS but where else can I play Mario and Zelda games? On that note, those are the only games I enjoy on the 3DS lol.

Oh_Yeah4004d ago (Edited 4004d ago )

Actually I'm a core gamer... But when it comes to handhelds I look for something different. I favor the more lighter/casual/retro stuff like platformers, JRPGs and puzzle, which Nintendo never lacks. When I first picked up a psp it was really ehhh because to me it felt like it was trying to be a hard core console... I have consoles for that! So I gotta roll with Nintendo for the different experience. Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, Monster Hunter...Great games that make me consider getting a 3ds but when I look at vita I'm like okay? But I can very similar if not the better version of that game already on my ps3.

WeAreLegion4004d ago

All good points, guys. However, you can't get anything like Gravity Rush on any system. Also, Soul Sacrifice is much better Monster Hunter, if you like that series. :)

Most gamers who don't like the Vita...have never tried the Vita.

ZombieNinjaPanda4003d ago

@WeareLegion

"Soul sacrifice is much better than monster hunter"

Your opinion was invalid before, but this cements it.

Gamers are just as bad, if not worse. Still a majorly immature industry and fanbase.

Mikefizzled4004d ago

Lets make a petition because we want to take the role of project lead. Thats one thing that annoys me a lot.

Pixel_Enemy4004d ago

It's completely true but when you say gamers are immature, it strikes me as offensive. Sounds like something some one would say who knows nothing about the gaming industry but instead looks down on it. Mobile phones have the same issues. iOS, Android, Black Berry and WP7 all suffer from delusional fanboism in the exact same manor.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
