And you know this how? Because of some screen shots?? It is a first person shooter but it could be more like far cry 3 or just more different then you're thinking. Don't judge until you see gameplay.

First off it wasn't the first FPS ever. Spasim and Battlezone have that honor. Secondly, it was good back in the day. But that doesn't mean we can't be judgmental about a reboot of a good series.

I don't think you can really say this was the first FPS ever made. Even if Wolfenstein was the first FPS ever, this is not that game, this is a game that shares the same name and some thematic similarities.

Love me some quality Wolfenstein. Hate me some idTech 5. I can't wait to walk up to a wall and see the entire lighting scheme, furnishments, windows, etc. burnt into it.

I know a lot of textures were baked in, but I thought it kept Rage running smooth and the resolution good on my old arsed 360 in all fairness to it.

Regardless, I shall be killing Nazis when this comes out... The previous one was a bit of a guilty pleasure :P

Since its coming to next-gen consoles I'm sure the texture quality will be improved and higher res. Rage was pretty much a straight up console port and they had it running at 60fps. Even on the PC its filled with the same muddy low res textures.

Kind of just looks like Rage DLC or something, which makes sense since it's id Tech 5 but yeah, doesn't look like they customised the engine or anything... I suppose I wouldn't know though.
