The truth is in the end the controls are still going to feel HORRID compared to a mouse and keyboard. Please just add mouse and keyboard support like Unreal Tournament 3.

Minato-Namikaze3998d ago

You know this because? Its not like hack and slash games havent been done before with a controller. That being said M&K support for those that want it would be a good idea

Blastoise3998d ago

Everyone always says this about Console games and then they work out fine...

Bimkoblerutso3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

I have, in fact, been hearing the exact opposite concerning the controls according to a few hands-on sources. The game supposedly controls very, very well.

I mean, think of Dark Alliance or Ultimate Alliance. I loved the controls in those games, personally.

It's one thing to prefer a certain control method...it's a whole different thing to make stupid, elitist assumptions before you have even tried it.

Rottenspacehead3998d ago

Lol. hack and slash = console. Its wierd it has found its way to PC to be honest. It was born on consoles and feels best with a handcontroller. nuff said.

Don't you just love it when a person acts as though their opinion is fact.

The FACT is that some people like it better with a M+KB. To them, it DOESN'T feel better with a controller. Others prefer the controller. No one is right or wrong. The only people that are wrong are people like you that think it's one or the other.

Just give people the option. It's not that hard.

mydyingparadiselost3998d ago

The UI has been changed for the sake of using the PS3 controller so a M+KB wouldn't be preferable to the game on PS3. Seems if you want to play a PC game like it's a PC game you have to have a PC.

Veni Vidi Vici3998d ago

That requires a PC that can run the game. Many people buy a console so they don't have to have a PC that can't run it.

Just because the UI is changed doesn't mean people will like playing with a controller. For people that want to play on their PS3 and with a mouse, there should be an option. Giving people a choice is ALWAYS better than forcing people to conform and it's not that hard to have both UI's available depending on what controller you want.

Persistantthug3998d ago

is generally not preferable to most console players.

This has been tested before, and Keyboard and mouse options, for all intent and purpose...hardly anyone ever uses it.

Relientk773998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

You clearly have never played Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III, Nox, or Titan Quest on the PC then.

I love the Hack and Slash genre and I only buy games from that genre on the PC.

And the Hack and Slash genre was created by Diablo, in 1996 on the PC, not consoles (and yes I know it was on PS1 2 years later and it was not as well received as the PC version)

_LarZen_3998d ago

Had a great time with D3 on PC, but I think I'm going to have a even better time on the console version.

kreate3998d ago

Basically, if u want to play with mouse/keyboard, buy pc version.
If u want to play with a controller, buy the ps3 version.
Thats all the options u gonna get.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein77d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

shinoff218377d ago

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera386d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33385d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
