Games come and go, and they’re usually remembered for the good (and not so good) qualities they offer. As such, sometimes games are remembered for being too good, with gamers forgetting all the negative aspects of them. This is a list of the 5 most overrated titles from this gen, and why gamers might be forgetting the flaws in the first place. It really makes me think you hated most games on your list....so games people don't like are automatically over rated
... While none of the games are bad by any means, I just wasn't as impressed by them as most other gamers seem to be.
I haven't played Resistence, so I can't comment on that, but I thought Gears of War was quite boring, gameplay-wise, and the same goes for Uncharted (ducks for cover). I guess I'm just not a big fan of cover-shooters.
Portal was good, but I somehow just didn't love it.
Mass Effect kinda lost me, cause I'm bad with names, so whenever I stopped playing for a bit, I just had no clue as to what I was supposed to do, who was who, and where I was supposed to go. Mass Effect 2 is better.
I think Skyrim is the most overrated game of the generation(imo)
Most over-rated games of this generation is Halo 3 and 4, IMO !
