No. There are many other factors to creating a psychotic child. Enviromental issues, would be at the top of the list. Being reward in games w/ XP, trophies or whatever is not an excuse. I play Borderland constantly w/ my son and we are not farming, theiving murderers. We have a great home, a happy family and lots of love and respect for each other. If you have a child that has a hard time deciphering between reality and fantasy and has little to no parenting, videogames might not be the hobby for your child. But that's not gamings fault. Like I said, Crazy people are crazy people with or without videogames.

To the author of this article...the 'newspaper' article did not bash anything or claim anything whatsoever. The simply reported....this website are nothing but misleading ****s. The police said the quotes in the article, the newspaper has not sided with anyone. Thank you for attempting to mislead me pixelenemy. The police also stated the game was also an element in the murder, not completely pointing the game out as the cause. This article is misleading simple as. Game journalism is amazing.

People have been doing crazy shit to each other for crazy reasons for thousands of years (children included). It was'nt video games, violent movies or even bad parenting, some people are just born assholes. if this kid didnt hurt someone over this it would have been something else.

But im sure even back then there was some people pointing the finger at violent cave paintings or some shit and wanted them all to be of people holding hands and smiling in a big circle. I think they were probably told to F off back then.

Damn games, before they came around the world was a peaceful place. I can't think of a single occurrence when someone meant ill will towards anyone else til those products of Satan were released to the unassuming public And corrupted our children.

I still remember when it happened... I was still in school and those filthy video games hadn't reached us yet. Then one of my friends was throwing a party, and his unemployed druggie Video game playing brother rented him a video game bus, filled to the brim with TVs and game consoles, he invited me and 20 other people. It was on a Saturday night and I didn't want to miss church the next morning so I decided to skip out on it, but being stupid irresponsible teenagers, everyone else went anyway... I got the news the next morning, not 30 minutes into the party, there was an argument, they... shurikened each other to death... all of them.

We need to shun all these temptations of the devil before some fool goes all Asura's Wrath on our asses.
