Is there anything seriously wrong? Yes. There's lots of graphical and environmental bugs in the game. My character would get stuck in odd animated positions and then float around endlessly. Sometimes I'd just get plain stuck with no way out other than quitting the game and restarting. The hud is also very cluttered and often restricts the view of the environment. Only when the action breaks for a cinematic animation do we really get to look at the amazing world.
It's great that Defiance is free to play and its story continues to get better as I go along. I'm grateful also to be aiming and shooting instead of clicking a set of keyboard keys over and over again in a predefined pattern. It's fun to play Trion Worlds' interconnected game but I'd wish the two universes (television and video game) were more reactive to the events that take place in their counterparts. Even the illusion of such a dynamic would suffice. It's beautiful and well acted but gameplay bugs and homogenous classes really drag the enjoyment down.
After 8 years of Defiance and 3 years of Defiance 2050, both titles are being sunsetted on April 29, 2021.
gamigo confirmed that it has acquired major assets from Trion Worlds, known for online and console MMO games such as Rift, Defiance, Trove and ArcheAge.
"Making sure to accommodate the 4K resolution is both a benefit and a hurdle with game development," says Defiance dev.
I seen an article in gameinformer that MS will be releasing an Xbox One F. $899 with 8% increase over Xbox One X. First time I seen or heard anything about it. Is it true or was it a joke?
If X could do 60fps compared to Pro 30fps may be it would matter more. Otherwise both can do well over 1080P which is more than enough. Games is what matters most.
kinda wondering bout this game. I'm kinda getting into the show, feel like I'm missing out on the FULL Defiance experience
Defiance is a great game, I'm playing it on 360 and it all works fine, these reviews are misleading, the game has been patched twice in the last two weeks and it's solid as a rock.
Defiance is an MMORPG it's not an open world shooter like Red Dead Redemption or Saints Row, it's an evolving game.
It's not free to play. It is fun. That is all
