@brodychet I said ADDED not mandatory. An optional 1st person driving view ain't going to hurt no one and I don't mean 1st person as in all you see is the road or the hood.. But as in you see the interior of your car, how could you not like that.

@brodychet are you forgetting that gta 3 had a first person driving mode?(or something similar to that). you could see through the side and back windows, the front camera wasnt inside the car though.

Well in the cinematic trailer of Franklin's portion, they already showed your definition of 1st person driving. So maybe it's confirmed?

Yeah CVG confirmed it:

"Weapons can also be customized with laser sights, scopes, silencers, and high capacity magazines."

and clothes too...

I don't know if i should get for PS3 or PC? What do you guys think? I didn't have GTA IV on ps3 so i dont know if it freezes or lags when you open the XMB. But i have noticed some of the later games freeze or take long to open the xmb on the ps3 like blackops 2. Not all of them but mostly games that have a lot of stuff packed into it.

PC, if Rockstar don't screw up the multiplayer like they did with iv then it could be great like San Andreas multiplayer, with 100+ player servers total freedom and allow us to make our own game modes.

I want to be able to do a burnout in the fast cars. Not just a standing still burnout while holding the brake but a real deal burnout. I want 4x4s and mud pits also. How about a motocross track? Maybe some go cart racing tracks.

Grand Theft Auto truthfully hasn't interested me ever since it went in to 3D.

Having started out as a fun guilty secret kind of game in its 2D drop down days , all they literally seem to have done in 3D (at least in GTA3) is to think what the 2D game would look like in 3D. In other words, they actually added nothing to the gameplay, just to the presentation.

GTA3 came out in 2001 remember. The best city based game of that year was.. well, it was Max Payne by a mile wasn't it.

Now I admit that I should probably play San Andreas because, from what I hear of it, they got it all right with that game. But GTAIV got orgasmic critic reviews only for the more 'say it as it actually is' public to later say that it was truthfully a bit boring: http://n4g.com/news/1160228...
Look at the Metacritic - blinded critics gave it 98% - LUDICRUOUS! That's like a Metroid Prime or Bioshock score. One that might you think about the possibilities of the genre itself. Not the score that you give to a passable follow up to a far more fun game. The user reviews are a more realistic 79%: http://www.metacritic.com/g... . New York may be a great city in real life but with its grid system and flat locales it's not always so interesting for games, particularly when instead of Max Payne in noirish New York you're playing generic guy in generic New York.

If GTAV gets back some of the San Andreas spirit then fair play. But otherwise let's not go overboard. It's the 'Postal' meets 'Carmageddon' series that got lucky and became a blind spot and then the 'must be praised' series in tabloid newspapers. Somehow.
