Games from 2012 for ≤ $30 That You Need to Finally Buy

2012 offered some pretty amazing games. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to buy every game they want at launch. Maybe a game or two just slipped under your radar, or you were ‘on the fence’ about buying a particular title at full price. That’s just life.

Fortunately, some of last year’s best titles can now be bought for less than thirty bucks! If you haven’t played the following games yet, then you need to surf on over to Amazon or Steam and do some shopping.

(Most of these prices are available on Amazon and/or Steam, and most of these games are eligible for free ‘Prime’ shipping on Amazon.)

Oh and why isn't Mass Effect 3 on here? It's only $10 now! Best game of 2012 easy! Even Game Informer said so!

Enziet4004d ago

What? It was a great game. I probably played 200 hours on it. The ending is even great now that they fixed it.

"Even Game Informer said so!"

Get a load of this guy.

BiggCMan4004d ago

^ Yes. It's not that ME3 was good or bad, but when you said "Even Game Informer said so!" is when I shook my head.

LOGICWINS4004d ago

WOW, Game Informer said so!? I should run out and buy it then before my hands explode!

Beaniscomin4004d ago

Hey, Game Informer is a trustworthy and reliable news source that obviously never compromises their journalistic integrity in the name of receiving payoffs from game companies... right?

... right?

SilentNegotiator4003d ago (Edited 4003d ago )

I once farted in one of the editor's faces when they bent down to pick something up off the floor. They gave it a 7/10.

Seriously, pleasing GameInformer is not an accomplishment. They give out good scores like candy.

Game Informer... who also gave Ni No Kuni a 7 out of 10? Those are the people you trust?

xXBlondieVanHarlowXx4004d ago

Did they now... *grabs gasoline canister*

Jk, but seriously a 7!? They are dead to me.

Wigriff4004d ago (Edited 4004d ago )

Yep, a 7 out of 10. That isn't the worst part. The worst part are some of the 'reasons' why the reviewer gigged it – namely because it was "too hard," and had "too many random encounters," and was "too old-school." Read it for yourself.

<I>"Ni No Kuni features many battles, but most trying is the player’s struggle against old-school mechanics. First off, every area contains an absurd amount of random encounters, and while enemies are visible on the field, they charge instantly once spotting you. Avoiding them is next to impossible, even after upgrading Oliver’s speed.

This problem is exacerbated by limited save points in dungeons (although the world map allows saving at any time). If you die before reaching a save point, you’re transported back to the dungeon’s entrance, grinding through the same enemies again. When you perish, Ni No Kuni also fines you 10 percent of your money to keep earned XP. Death is a possibility in every battle, keeping you constantly alert and forcing you to learn the battle system."</I>

I died once in the entire game. Once. My 8-year-old daughter plays it, and I don't think she has died more than maybe half-a-dozen times. Where is this great difficulty at? lol
