Digital Journal Review: 'Dead Island: Riptide' is the same game with a new title

In theory; 'Dead Island: Riptide' should be a great horror game with an open world environment and RPG elements. Instead Techland found a way to make such a game incredibly boring, again!

Why are people knocking it for being the same as the previous title. Though the previous title was good. I don't feel like being that guy that points to Call of Duty since the creation of the Modern Warfare series...but..yeah.

I have riptide and its fun, and I never played the original. By the way nothing is more fun then smacking a zombie in the head with a wooden plank you ripped up from a boardwalk. Name another game you can do that on. Or deciding weather to use either a flare gun, or nail gun when your good baseball bat has broken from crushing in Zombie Skulls.

Yup clearly a 1/5 title because it has more of the same sweetness its previous title had. ._.

See the problem here is you used call of duty as a example and that's the exact reason most core gamers have been blasting call of duty for years. I don't think the game is bad to the point of being a one out of five. But they are pretty close to being considered a cash grab. Hopefully if there is a third one thay make it better and not same game different story.
