i never really got into Etrian series mainly for the fact that I was not a fan of the "feel the story your way" type of game. Couldn't really see the character development, but I'm glad they're finally adding a story you can follow. Same reason why I don't play Skyrim, but games like Dark Souls I'm ok because of the atmosphere.
