Deep Silver clarifies Metro: No development has started on any next-gen consoles

Andrew Prokhorov, creative director on Metro: Last Light at developer 4A Games, recently had the nuance of his words lost in translation, according to publisher Deep Silver. The ITCChannel interview allegedly shook out details about a version of Metro: Last Light for PS4, the release of a software development kit (SDK) for Metro and downloadable content details.

If you want it with a next-gen experience.

Go PC. Metro 2033 is and will be better than most next-gen titles. Last Light should be no exception

J0Scorpionake4011d ago

I think the launch of the game in 2 different console generations would play against the game. Better they make next Metro next gen only.

Salooh4011d ago (Edited 4011d ago )

So, Ps3 version then. I really wanted to skip the ps3 version. Oh well, Day one 14May :D. Love 14 !!!! The last of us will release in 14 june too xD...

@JOS^^
Current generation will release 3 weeks from now..

Metro Video Game Series: A Comprehensive History

The Metro video game series started with a humble b-list title, before building a strong fanbase and becoming a pioneer in the industry.

TheBrainZ72d ago

Never got into Exodus, but 2033 was excellent.

kevco3372d ago

Yeah, Exodus just didn't grab me either, sadly.

I absolutely loved 2033 and Last Light, however. Played them both on 360 and then again with the remasters!

anast71d ago

I just started it and it is already miles better than the first 2 which are dated.

Confused in pa.

Sonyslave3216d ago

mkis007216d ago (Edited 216d ago )

This is called good PR. And an opportunity to hire veterans over scrubs.

phoenixwing215d ago

Not to call them scrubs but yeah some veteran devs are more welcome than others with less experience

Flakegriffin215d ago (Edited 215d ago )

You can hire veterans all day long but it’s the talent Microsoft lacks.

Zeref216d ago (Edited 216d ago )

It was mostly outside of gaming. Most of the game studios weren't affected besides 343i and Coalition from what I recall

Charlieboy333215d ago (Edited 215d ago )

But of course. Just look at the latest Saint's Row....that is exactly the level of quality and writing that Xbox strives for these days.

Aloymetal215d ago

Nope, like Redfall, Craig infinite

ravens52215d ago

There u go. This is way more acceptable than buying up studios. Buy individual talent until you strengthen your already owned studios. 👏🏽
