Maybe Ghosts will be a departure from the typical bi-annual MW release. At least I hope. I'm not a big CoD fan myself (I don't hate it, just prefer more strategic FPS's), but my best friend loves it and lives in another state now, so CoD is how we hang out.

It's funny how a game might be made off of the one soldier character in a Call of Duty that did not look like a generic soldier. It's also great that he says maybe 20 lines in MW2, other than generic gunplay talk, yet people somehow love the character so much.

COD gamers may subconsciously want change after all.

seriously... WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE????? both are made by Infinity Ward.. both are more than likely going to be very similiar to MW3 (which most CoD players hate, and the fanboy reviewers @ IGN loved).... so i ask again, what's the difference??

COD 4 was good for its time but BO2 is the best in the series. You hate on COD but you still play it because you know its fun.

Could do with a change of environment really. I remember COD4 being a breath of fresh air because it wasn't a WWII title, maybe a stock-standard WWII title is all that's needed to inject fresh life. Something's got to give.

Honestly, I've always felt Treyarch's games to be technically superior for balancing etc but just a bit stale, lacking something special which COD4 and, in my honest but certainly uncommon opinion, MW2 had.

I still think the gunplay is tight, and I always love a good casual twitch shooter which takes seconds to pick up and play. I love Battlefield but it's a far more involved experience and I don't always want that.

MW3 was shocking, it was pretty much MW2 with new guns; I expected better, what can I say?
