Hmmm....well I hope the rest of GTAVs music will be good like the ones in Vice City and San Andreas

Agreed. Considering that it was a present day setting too, without the benefit of being able to look at the pasts best music, made it a better accomplishment for me.

The music in this game is going to be epic, I can just sense it, and not because of flying lotus either, because of all the other good artists that will be involved famous or not.

Umm... no! I spent hours just listening to Vladivostok FM & The Journey when I first got the game. I didn't even play the game that day, instead my sound system got a workout while I chilled to the beats.

Wow, I'm surprised. I feel that out of all of them, this was the one that I downloaded the most tracks from. Fusion FM (I think that was name of the station) was pretty awesome.

Flying Lotus is awesome, try Listen to Cosmogramma and Until the Quiet Comes. Afterwards, if you end up liking FL, give Gaslamp Killer a listening too also.

Gaslamp Killer is pretty meh, his debut was kind of a disappointment. Madlib, Jneiro Jarel, and J Dilla are the one's you should be recommending. Samiyam is another good one.

A lot of cookie cutters have accumulated around those guys^^^, Gaslamp Killer, Teebs, Tokimonsta, Thundercat, Shlohmo and so on.

Hmmm, not sure how to feel about this. Believe me in regular life my tastes tend more towards the weirder and obscure in music but I really thought GTA4 tried to go a little too deep with it's musical selections. Flying a helicopter over the city at night to a guilty pleasure like Keep on loving you by REO Speedwagon was just more fun than doing it to a radio station almost entirely devoted to Fela Kuti. Nothing against Fela Kuti as an artist but I just think the simpler pop oriented songs work better for the game.

There were some good ones in GTA4 but they were too thinly spread through less immediate songs and faaaar too many commercials that there was no station you could turn on during a chase and be guaranteed a fun soundtrack. It seems most of my high speed chases were done to the 4minute breakdown part of a Fela Kuti song, some old B-side by a thrash band that never signed a major deal or the pets overnight dot com commercial.

Hopefully they have some of his older tunes, driving through the desert at night listening to Luckiest Charm would be amazing. really glad to see him get some reccoginition in the game industry, we need more music like this in games, now we just need some Nujabes in the soundtrack and i'd consider it to be one of the best sandbox soundtracks ever!
